I've experienced some slight lag/errors with the launcher, but only on initial startup. I just give it an additional 30 seconds now to make sure the DAP has fully loaded up.Do you have any issues with the locked launcher or software so far?

"Network Request Failed".
Unfortunately that's to be expected, Shanling's file server hosting these firmware updates sits behind a seriously slow connection... But the upgrade mechanism fortunately has a possibility to resume rather than restart"Network Request Failed".

Server 2 currently seems to be the fastest and more reliable option ... V1.1 has not been made available yet via Google Drive, so OTA currently is the only way.

Hi,
So I saw the 1.1 update, I wanna update my device by downloading the update manually.
When Shanling will make it available to direct download ?
Seems to only being available by internal app update…
Really frustrating to see that on their site don’t have update the download link…
Only v1.0.7 is available for now…

Shanling for some reason neverr update the latest firmware to their own site, they put it on a Google drive which they only inform here. It's frustrating. All they really need to do is link their site to the the Drive they're using...

Sorry for this, we try to not be posting firmware updates late on friday ahead of weekend, for obvious reasons.
The OTA release was scheduled to go live today on monday.
You can find notes and download link on our website here: https://en.shanling.com/article-M3UV110.html
It will be made publicly available later today.

Firmware updates are always firstly posted in the News section. Download section has to be updated by our IT and it is a bit delayed.
Have any question about our players? Just PM me or send me email.

Hi guys,
Just to tells you that personnaly i had rooted mine, and for the problem of multitasking bottin not working with other launcher (after removing Lanuche3 and Shanling player apps), I have Naptime/greenify that automatically kill apps when launching some apps or when DAP switch screen of (so no more prob of apps staying open in background).
And (for me) most important thing I can now make apps drawing over system (so lots of apps working now) and I was able to change default accent color (I hate this ugly green ) with help of Substratum or a Magisk module.
If anyone is interested, that’s what I done:
- extract with a payload dumper boot.img from .zip update (payload dumper can be found on XDA forum).
- patch boot.img with Magisk
- flash boot.img in the DAP with Fastboot:
> start DAP
> start Debug USB on in dev options
> use ADB, type « adb reboot Fastboot »
> flash the boot.img « fastboot flash boot boot.img »
> fastboot reboot… and Voila
Now really a wonderful device with so much battery playing time
Thank you Shanling

Can’t tell you as I don’t count my playing time on this DAP (it has way more battery that my previous Sony DAP), but I think 5/8 hours more, now by playing music everyday for about 5/6 hours I last 7/8 days with no problem (and again I was able to change from green to blue all the accent color > cause I really hate this greenish color ).How much extra battery time do you get with such a set up?
Hello!
The new firmware did not fix the annoying error in the interaction of the standard player with network drives (NAS). When playing the same file from a memory card and from a network drive, we get 3 errors.
1. Wrong album cover;
2. No artist name;
3. The quality of the file is not displayed.
Shanling, please tell me when will this be fixed? This problem exists on all players with the Android operating system.
As I wrote earlier, third-party players (USB Audio Player PRO and HibyMusic) do not have these problems.

No estimation for a fix for this issue. Good to know the alternatives are working fine for this.
