Which Chinese manufacturer are we talking about?

Other tubes would of course be great 6sn7,6SL7,6v6,EL34,Kt88,2A3.
6AS7G for Bottelhead,Feliks Euforia/Elise and other amps would be quite an addition as there are only Nos left and dying.
Although there are still many compatible amps out there.

12Au7 from Ray looks interesting.
I'll keep that in mind. the tube makes a good impression.

Agree, also EL3N, EL11, EL12, EL37 would be of interest. That said, in turns of prioritization would love a high performing new production option in 6V6, EL34, KT88.

$150 for a matched pair 12AU7 is not that bad, as long as they really sound good. The best NOS 12AU7 matched pairs go well above $200 or even $300, and you are lucky if you get 30 days warranty on them. It all depends on how these new tubes sound. Price is mid-category I would say. If Apos wants to send a pair my way to try in my HA-3A, I won't say no.

The same applies to Brimar, which is to be rewound, it is a normal 6SN7 tube from Shuang with a different imprint and a different colour base.

Well obviously it's the same as the dealer you mentioned.
Shuguang or PSVane are producing the tubes according to Apos or the other dealers specifications.

They can't produce tubes themselves so they have their Partner in China do it for them

Great question. The answer is pretty technical but important to understanding how tube amps work.

A crucial component of a tube headphone amp is the cathode, which heats up when the device is turned on. As the filament within the cathode heats, it emits electrons. These electrons move to a grid that regulates the electrical current. This regulated current is then amplified according to the input signal and sent to the output, making the sound audible in your headphones.
Skipping the warm-up won't damage the amp, but it does have consequences. The primary drawback is suboptimal audio performance. For the tubes to function efficiently in amplifying the sound, the filament inside them needs to reach a certain temperature. Failing to allow time for this means the sound quality will be compromised. For that reason, it's advisable to let your tubes warm up before use for the best listening experience.
