I am enjoying the LP gets more use than my Singex SA-1.
As always I can not stay still.I like the tubes I have Brimars 1969 e88cc.
I have seen these tubes for a decent price Philips ECC88 Tubes Amperex Bugle Boy 1959
Would there be a reasonable change in sound signature or are they close to the Brimars?
Is there a big difference between O getter and D getter?

i am getting a sound like wind going thru one side of my headphones then it goes away, very annoying. Bad tube? what can be the cause?always thru the same side

I am no expert but have you tried swapping the tubes over to see if the problem moves to the other ear?
Also is it the same headphones and cables
You could try a different amp or dac to eliminate one or the other?

doesnt happen on my other amp. does happen with all headphones. Just switched tubes around and the sound moved to other ear. looks like i may have a bad tube.eventually the wind noise does get quieter but doesnt totally go away

If you are using adapters: when you switch the tubes, do the adapters ‘go’ with the tubes?

It’s the tube(s). Have you tried different suitable tubes in the adapters?
