Original one is a 4000mah li-po battery. If you search in Ali express (for example) for your model you will find multiple ones. I've bought one from a trusted seller with 4500mah which should be suitable for my M6 Pro model.

Hopefully it's not a HSABAT or LOSONCOER 4500mah as they always have fake mah on the fancy label. If its one of those it will be more like 3000mah. Sometimes you don't need a battery analyser to check it, peeling off the fancy label can sometimes show the real capacity if they didn't fully alcohol wipe off the printing or have just put a black marker line over it.

What a teaser! I'd be interested in the specs especially in the battery department. Loved my M6Pro (AK) but the battery was just a bit disappointing. The M7 on the other hand has a nice battery and I have been loving it! The sound too was an upgrade from the already great sounding M6Pro (AK). I am really interested to hear what the new M6 will sound like!

I bought a used M6 Pro AK version and I am loving it over my previous M5s. There are a few questions I have after some discovery and a long search on this forum.
I discovered that I could get the player to work remotely using the Eddict app installed on my iPhone 13. I then bought a used Samsung Galaxy S6 for cheap to be a dedicated Eddict player remote and I found it to be better as far as responsiveness and control.

I mostly use my player for my walks where the headphone wires become cumbersome when I want to increase volume or change a folder. At first I felt the Eddict app was a bit unrefined but now I like it very much for its simplicity of getting to the files I want quickly which I think is a good move over a fancy UI from other manufactures which is exactly what is needed for my use case. It is certainly better in every way to the default Shanling music player.
I have read that the original Shanling music player will no longer be supported and the Eddict version will take its place. I have downloaded the Eddict player to my M6 Pro but I was wondering if there is anyway to make it the default music player in prime mode. This would be a good move since this is the way forward as I see potential in this app as it undergoes continuous development.

The standalone Shanling music app was discontinued(as it was replaced by the Eddict player), but it has no connection to the default music app on the M6, that still gets development.

May I know which part of Eddict player you prefer to the player on the M6?

My M6 Pro original uses the Shanling music app. Does this new Eddict player allow you to store more than one custom EQ setting? What's it looks like - if anyone wants to post a picture.

It's companion app for our models, not a replacement music player.

Thanks Shanling, its is good to know that the default player still gets development.

As to your question of what I like about the Eddict player over the Shanling app.

1. its simplicity in the UI especially the large boxes on the Home Screen.

2. I mostly navigate my music though folders because I prefer to have my own classification/ genre and subfolders. The Shanling music player does this poorly if I want to go back to a previous folder as it takes me to the root. If I open the status screen I also have to go back to the root and start over which is not ideal. The M5s did not do this. The Eddict players navigation though the folders back and forth is the best I have seen for its intuitiveness and there are other smaller things it does well that makes the experience smooth.

3. Now that I have the Eddict app installed on the M6 pro and its connected to my Samsung Galaxy S6 with the Eddict app instead of the Shanling default player the bluetooth response times are better than I ever expected. Previously there was a slight delay which is normal and acceptable but now its so good that its nearly indistinguishable from using the M6 pro directly. The status bar for track time with the Shanling music player would be delayed and update in five second intervals but now its updates in real time down to the second which I thought would not be possible.

There is nothing wrong with the display of the M6 pro as it matches my user experience with your past products however using though the Samsung Galaxy S6 is better in every way once I set it up as a dedicated music player by disabling the security so its just a one button press to turn on. The Amoled screen is vibrant and easier to read. The responsiveness of the touch and navigation is another level up. The experience has been so good that I decided to use it this way from now on because I can keep the M6 Pro stationary since it is bulky and has a wired connection. Maybe in the future you will just sell me a brick with a detachable screen.

The Eddict app may not be the most refined compared to the HiBy but what I like about it the most is, it works well with no quirks and the connection is stable. I look forward to seeing future refinements of this app.

I forgot to mention one of my other annoyances is the status bar on the Shanling music player is when I swap it to move the track forward it tries to go back to the previous page. I have to first give it a steady touch and then move the dot to fast forward the track. The Eddict player doesn't have a swipe function so it doesn't interfere with the process. I can get to everything efficiently and quickly.

I know this might seem like old news as I am not an Android phone user but I found a way to pin the app on the phone using the kiosk mode. Now this cheap $30 Samsung Galaxy S6 is a dedicated Eddict player with a nice screen. I like it this way so that there is no way to accidentally exit out of the app when I am out for my walks. I bought a lanyard phone holder to wear around my neck since the phone is slim light weight to control the player. This set up is better than the expensive Chord Poly I considered a few years ago that is known to have issues.

Another discovery is the HiBy app works great indoors with the M6 pro and my iPad Pro. I was at first disappointed that it cant make a bluetooth connection but it allows you to choose a wifi connection which is better since I use LDAC broadcasted from my M6 pro to my ES100 for my home system. I can now control the M6 pro using my iPad anywhere in the home or outside the home as long as I have a wifi signal.

You can simply swipe down or click on the down arrow in top right corner, that will take you directly to the folder you are currently playing.

Thanks Shanling, it was helpful. I still prefer the Eddict app and I may be the only odd ball as I am sure more would prefer the Shanling player. I know they both will work together using sync but the bluetooth works better with the Eddict to Eddict.
I look forward to seeing the Eddict app develop. My only wish is if it could be configured to prime mode but its not much of a big deal now, just an extra button press.

Note: When using player as USB DAC, click on the USB icon in top right corner to turn charging On/Off

there is no such option on old m6 pro, i dont see it, can you give screenshot?

Please check it.
