They are the same.
Only differences are the 4.4mm output and the input selector between XLR and RCA.

I think Violectric is gonna do very well with this amp. It's priced appropriately and the old V200/v280 sound was amazing. I will definitely put an order in.

From the looks of it the new amps are a bit less deep as well.
My Lake People RS-08 is about 1/3rd of the depth of the V200 I had before

I´ve asked Violectric about the expected launch date. Fried Reim wrote:
"The circuits of the V202, 222, 226, 340 and 380 amplifiers are the same or at least very similar.
The sound is therefore virtually identical.
V340/V380 have more possibilities regarding inputs and outputs, the V222 is a pure sym. amplifier with 2 switchable inputs.
V202 and V222 should be available from October '22."

A big thank you to @Ichos , he helped me a lot the last days to find the right equipment for me. I bought the V380 and I am very happy with it.

I still feel that Vio made a mistake by having V340 whitout balanced inputs and no 4.4mm balanced output.
V222 seems like a more well rounded product for less.

The main difference and I guess the selling point is that the 340 has XLR and RCA pre outputs something the 222 doesn't have.

Mini Niimbus with V222 footprint, but Niimbus higher end parts would be top seller in my mind.

But 1 reply few posts ago quote Fried saiying that those v340 and v550 i suppose are not better except having more power, preams and more features.
I suppose for sound quality they all must be almost identical?
I suppose Niimbus is like V550 with high end parts and mini Niimbus could be like V222 with also high end parts.
Just suggestion since there is only few headphones that need power of Niimbus... V222 have more than enough power for most users.
