Headphoneus Supremus
Pros: + Truly neutral and natural tonal balance
+ Great stereo imaging
+ Detailed enough without being bright or edgy
+ Independent volume control that can get quiet enough for sensitive IEMs
+ Can handle high impedance and low sensitive gear
+ Good energy efficiency
+ Excellent USB cable provided
Cons: - The device does not remember gain and filter settings, making adjusting these impractical.
Opinions. All of us in this hobby have them. Some are more popular, some are not.

My unpopular opinion is this one: USB DACs (a.k.a., “dongles”) are the least fun gadgets in the audio hobby. They...

500+ Head-Fier
Pros: Gorgeous looks
Heavy and high quality feel
Great fit due to small size
Possibly my favourite cable with hefty plugs and soft wires
A tasteful warm-leaning balance
Bass feels like a warm hug
Vocals never feel lost in the mix
Still competitively priced
Musicality is its forte
Most big-speaker-like presentation of my sets to my ears
Cons: Despite small overall size those who dislike short nozzles might struggle
Not the greatest resolution/clarity
Not for those searching for a technical single DD
Sparse accessories (but a wonderful cable imo)
A fingerprint magnet
Bloated bass in certain scenarios

Some of the best unboxing experience, Oriveti seems pretty generous with accessory (-1 points for no magnetic box tho  )

100+ Head-Fier
Pros: None
Cons: -Absolutely overvalued Dongle
-it completely change the sound of your headphone making them sound without basses and absolutely trebles oriented
- definition here is hyper definition and every detail will make your ears blooding in 1 minute
- details are harsh too
- unnatural dynamics and prat
- with sensitive iems you won't be able to listen at low volume cause the digital noise will interrupt very low sound
- you can only regulate volume form cell... Bleah
- One time i connect it to a pc and push play before check pc volume and I almost went deaf
-penon complete stole me this money only thanks to the trust gained through his earphones for a product that should cost 20 euros for such a low tech object.
-I can't understand why none of those golden ears writing and reviewing here have ever yet reported this flop.
-funny: there is also some light coming from inside but you can see it only from the unused plug.
-tried with a lot of iems, cheap, expensive, same disappointing results.
-no more blind shopping tempted by your early bird/vip discounts since that unfortunate date I bought Penon tail... Good job Penon!
I express everything in my cons: Penon tail is a donation to PENON, than you can throw it in the garbage and take something else.

- Extremely musical and lush while being highly detailed
- Voices and string instruments to die for
- Comfortable

- Some genres are just bad sounding
- Price is extremely high

An excellent review. I bought the OG ea500 and on first listen loved its clarity, but wondered why it was so popular. It sounded to me that the music and vocals weee played and sung in a higher key. Put it on my Tempotec V6 let it play without listening for several days. Listened to it again, and its sound had changed for the better, now it started to sing. Bought the EA500LM immediately it was released, wasn’t sure if the EA1000, would be a major upgrade. Out of the box, the EA500LM sounded amazing. With close to 100 hours on it, a cable change and different tips, and it really sings now. I only listen at low to moderate levels btw. I’m now waiting to see if a EA1000LM will be released.

Again, thanks for the great review.

New Head-Fier
Pros: Very good and pleasant balanced tuning
Not boring and not bright, I approve of it
Deep sub-bass with nice subwoofer effect
Bass quality and texture reproduction are very high
Mids are warm with good amount of air and sound transparent
No harsh timbres or overtones, only natural good timbres
Treble is surprisingly long lasting and very balanced
Excellent demonstrative technique and analytics
Superbly wide soundstage, literally takes me to another dimension
Cons: I would have liked to have had a more prominent attack on the bass, but this is mostly needed in hip hop or electronic genres, if you listen to something else then it won't bother you.
