The Sony XB500s are really nice for bas, as are the XB700s, which have more low bass with less impact. Look up some of the bass phone threads search these two. They do alright straight from a computer or player, but get much better with a modest amp like of the Fiios or an EQ on the computer...

I don't know if this is still going on but I would love to try it. I can solder and have done several different cables. I have a sansa Fuze with an LOD to try it out.

I am selling the record now on Ebay, if anyone wants to pick it up. Remember, It has such a huge dynamic range I am sure it is the original master and not the compressed CD version. Great bass as well.
