HELP: New Soundcard/Audio Interface : USB-C, low latency, Mic Input with Mic Preamp, DAC / ADC , Headphone Amp (with power) <$1000 - does it exist?

Yeah, manufacturers tend to specify and advertise things that their products don't actually pass. 1.5 Ohm is not that bad though. Need to go and check Boom locally.

HELP: New Soundcard/Audio Interface : USB-C, low latency, Mic Input with Mic Preamp, DAC / ADC , Headphone Amp (with power) <$1000 - does it exist?

Thanks, had missed Apogee Boom somehow. It has semi-decent output of 64mW into 300Ohm, not a real oompf HPA, but perhaps enough for my current cans. Output impedance is over 1Ohm though. I'll go and see if I can find it locally so I can test it. Thanks! The roundtrip latency is "good enough"...

HELP: New Soundcard/Audio Interface : USB-C, low latency, Mic Input with Mic Preamp, DAC / ADC , Headphone Amp (with power) <$1000 - does it exist?

Haven't really found anything below $1000 that has enough power to drive headphones. Almost everything tested remains at paltry 10-40mW output power, and very often the output impedance is way over 1Ohm (making response wonky with some headphones). I can get almost everything else in a...

HELP: New Soundcard/Audio Interface : USB-C, low latency, Mic Input with Mic Preamp, DAC / ADC , Headphone Amp (with power) <$1000 - does it exist?

Usually usb-powered are not powerful enough to drive headphones to more than a few dozen mW. So preferably not USB-powered.

HELP: New Soundcard/Audio Interface : USB-C, low latency, Mic Input with Mic Preamp, DAC / ADC , Headphone Amp (with power) <$1000 - does it exist?

Looking for a new "all-in-one" interface for computer: - usb-c input, 24b/192kHz (DSD, MQA are optional) - Mic inputs (with Preamp, adjustable via a knob, phantom power is a plus) - Decent DAC (and also, as Mic is analog, ADC) - powerful enough headphone amp with low impedance output and enough...

    IEM with good sound isolation

Anything with a 2-3mm tip/nozzle (like Shure, Westone, original Audiosense) and MUST BE fitted with either Comply P Professional series (longest foam tips) OR Westone Univeral Foam Tips (longest, 15.5mm). These will give you SUPERIOR sound isolation (yes, incl. deep inserted Etys with...

CHIFI LOVE Thread-A never ending IEM-Heaphones-DAP-Dongles Sound Value Quest

Any ChiFi IEMs still out there with that long 2-3mm tip / nozzle? Almost every company has now gone to much wider bore size, making it impossible to use my favourite foam tips (comply P professional series that only fit 2-3mm size tips). Used to buy NiceHK and AudioSense BA IEMs for this use...

    The discovery thread!

Thanks, but doesn't work. Tried 4 browsers, even with diff. country endpoint VPN, cleared cookies/cache. Weird, guess AliExpress has started doing more geography based sales restrictions. Thanks for the tip still!

Thanks for the tip, Unfortunately for me that product (whatever it is, as I can't view it) only gives: Any more ideas? Thanks!

    The discovery thread!

Looking for Recommendations, would appreciate any input: Need headphones for Gym/running/exercise outdoors. I go through cables (no, don't want wireless) often, so I need a pair that takes MMCX cables (which I can source/replace cheaply with an inline Mic for calls). Another need is a thin...

Mad Lust Envy's Headphone Gaming Guide: (8/18/2022: iFi GO Blu Review Added)

I doubt that more than 1% of the sound-card buying public even knows, not to mention installs and uses HeSuVi or OOYH. The real reason is probably much more prosaic: too much competition (amongst brands, about consumer spending in general), almost everybody is already "happy enough" with the...

The Best Passive Isolating Universal IEMs thread

Started my journey to IEMs with Etymotics c. 20 years ago. Have gone through dozens and dozens of IEMs since and have a huge collection of (mostly sucky) tips of all sorts of shape/dimensions/materials in my cupboard. My take: The absolute two best tips for isolation (most amount of dB...
