Audeze - MM-Series - MM-500
Good to hear - having plastic in a structural place sorta defeats the purpose of the nice metal build everywhere else. Hopefully its possible to replace that part with metal somehow.- Random Lunatic

Denon AH-D9200 - 2018 Flagship - Impressions Thread
I did because I thought it was unacceptable, but every new pair I got just had some other small imperfections. Nothing functionally problematic mind you- Random Lunatic

Couldn’t agree more - I returned my pair twice due to imperfections in the pads. but I don’t have that uneven cloth - that’d be unacceptable.- Random Lunatic

MOONDROP Seventh Anniversary Edition, Beautiful World
By the looks of it their frequency response is essentially the same as the Aria Snow edition or original Starfield. So should sound about the same in presentation - but with a better quality drive, so maybe a bit more clarity I’d imagine. But both of those have a less popular bright/lean tuning...- Random Lunatic

MOONDROP Seventh Anniversary Edition, Beautiful World
Kind of sad to me how allergic this hobby apparently is to anything that looks interesting. Or maybe its just a vocal minority. I bought a Dioko, just out of spite because of that - joke on me in that case tho, because that IEM was tuned quite poorly, so I never use it. No amount of fun design...- Random Lunatic

Audeze - MM-Series - MM-500
Speaking as someone who's been a cable maker in the past, my best guess is connector tolerances. Some times the male/female connectors tolerances vary slightly causing a bad or no connection in bad cases, or at worst can outright damage each other or starlight up not fit. This is mostly with...- Random Lunatic

Headphone Measurements DON'T MATTER <Video> | Moon Audio
I think using hyperbole in attempt to dissuade overuse of measurements ends up discrediting the video severely, to those that know anothing about the topic, which is a shame, because I think the overall point is a fair and relevant one.- Random Lunatic

Introducing the Audeze MM-500!
They're very different, but from memory its not a strongpoint on either of them. Hopefully someone who has them on hand can elaborate.- Random Lunatic

Introducing the Audeze MM-500!
It most definitely doesn't, unless something is outright broken - in which case you should consider getting it looked at. Especially not with a linear device like a planar headphone. Don't get me wrong, you do you - I just want to add perspective for others to not sink money. If you don't like...- Random Lunatic

Introducing LETSHUOER DZ4
That’s a shame, was really hoping someone would finally make a good set with bass. Thanks for the impressions though, at least that saved me the money.- Random Lunatic

Denon AH-D7000
Does anyone know at what serial number they updated the D7000 in 2012? I’m trying to find one of the newer ones, but I’m not sure what to look for… There’s a serial number on the box, but no date. Basically if anyone knows they have the newer version, could you let me know what serial number it...- Random Lunatic

Introducing HIFIMAN Arya Organic
Really looking forward to graphs of these becoming available compared to previous models and things like XS! Well, that and I'd love to hear one of course, but thats not really possible here.- Random Lunatic

Introducing HIFIMAN Ananda Nano
Now that sounds very intriguing, and hopefully the Organic follows the same trend. Look forward to one of the graph databases getting all of them, so its actually possible to see how they compare to XS and others in terms of the mentioned bass etc.- Random Lunatic

Introducing HIFIMAN Ananda Nano
Yea, regardless which model suffers most from this, I definitely agree - the tendency for the "stealth" label just meaning "treble peak added" I'm really not a fan of.- Random Lunatic

Introducing HIFIMAN Ananda Nano
Personally I'd take XS over any of the prior Ananda's, but who knows with the new one - or which fits your taste. What headphones others like doesn't really tell you much unless you know what they like vs. what you like.- Random Lunatic
