I didn't try the Utopia that way. Plus I do not have one anymore. I believe it will be a great pairing though. I would personally use bit perfect + with tube + and go from there and tweak to see what you like. I for one never have the unit on without using the tube stage.- grizzlybeast

Thank you! I hope iFi is not offended by me poking fun. I need to edit it some of the typing. But I really think they did a good job. I will do a comparison to it vs the YGGY A2 soon and post it as soon as I can. I am soon out of the game. It is not fair for me to accept units for review and...- grizzlybeast

ZMF Verite Open
Well...I am not going to say it does bad at a genre but I just recall it doing some songs better than others. I won’t expound more until I have personal time with them. Those were first impressions so add salt where needed.- grizzlybeast

ZMF Verite Open
I got to hear the Verite already and it is Easily one of the most detailed dynamic hps I have heard. Better micros than the HD800 and maybe more detailed. I felt it wasnt a genre master though in my short time with it. Some songs sounded better than others. The songs that sounded good were...- grizzlybeast

The Long Awaited Release Party of the Voce! March 10th, 2018!
So I got to hear the Mr. Speakers Ether Voce at a show in PDX. Couple of comments.... 1. With the felt over the driver it sounds too overdampened 2. has a bit of an overly crisp sound to it. 3. Bass is still electrostaty just but better than average Otherwise into the blue hawaii from headamp...- grizzlybeast

Klipsch High End Over Ear-your input appreciated
The headphones are cutting out. I know they are broken. Just trying to see if I am the only one before I update the review on earphiles. I find it bullcrap that they have no way to fix them. Pretty pissed now because both drivers cut off because the connectors are poorly designed. I have to...- grizzlybeast

Cayin HA-300MK2 (2022) TOTL Transformer coupled Direct Heated Triode Tube HeadAmp (Page 91)
:beerchug: definitely, actually I am happy with my amp and do not have 4K right a way. But if I did have 4K right now of undedicated funds there is no question where it would be going to the HA300B- grizzlybeast

Massdrop x Sennheiser HD 58X Jubilee Review & Measurements
It is all relative I guess. Planars in general are less responsive and due to their typical flat mid-lower bass response then they have a hard time hitting as hard as dynamics since the response is less nodal and spread out across the diaphragm. The Aeon Flow Open is unique in that it can slam...- grizzlybeast

Massdrop x Sennheiser HD 58X Jubilee Review & Measurements
To be honest, despite sennheiser trying to make these more efficient the HD58X decently solid bass and the bass gets stronger from a high impedance output or OTL amp. It will all depend on that amp you use as to which results you get. My Mogwai Special Edition has a 300ohm tap and the 58X hits...- grizzlybeast
