Hiby R6 Pro II (2023 Edition) - Launch, Hype, Thoughts & More
Very nice! Could you give some comments on how the Dignis case handles the side buttons? Do you get accidental presses? Are you able to use them without looking?- DTKZ

Hiby R6 Pro II (2023 Edition) - Launch, Hype, Thoughts & More
The player comes with plastic preinstalled. You just use your nail to gently peel it up at one of the corners and then you just peel it off. Yes. The player would be functionally unusable if you can't use the touchscreen. wouldn't it?- DTKZ

Earbuds Round-Up
Yup. While I do find the idea of a 4-figure priced earbud kind of shocking, that might just be because this is the first time I've come across one. Compared to similarly priced iems, I don't find them to look or feel cheap in comparison. Let me put it this way, I own a Sony IER-Z1R which is...- DTKZ

Earbuds Round-Up
That's only from the driver side and I magine it's probably due to the open driver design. The shells are made of metal and they feel pretty solid and well built in hand.- DTKZ

Earbuds Round-Up
Yeah, the Pislo booth was a surprise highlight for me. As someone who likes earbuds but also likes bass, these really scratch an itch for me. I tried the black one priced around SGD2.5K (approx. USD1.8K per current exchange rates) without any foams and it was still capable of punching like an...- DTKZ

FATfreq Impressions Thread - Bass Cannons and More
Tried the mini v2 today. I should note that I was told that what I was listening to is not the final product. They seemed pretty interested to hear what I thought and they are still working on the final tuning. It seems to be a response to those who felt that the bass shelf on the v1 was a...- DTKZ

Can I check? Does the 3.5mm lineout work when using bluetooth? For example, can I use it as a bluetooth receiver and connect the lineout to another amp?- DTKZ

Shanling Q1 - Retro-Styled Portable Hi-Fi Music Player
Thanks. It now seems to be connected to my phone using LDAC. I still can't get to work with my computer as a bluetooth receiver though, which is the main reason I bought this device. Any ideas?- DTKZ

Shanling Q1 - Retro-Styled Portable Hi-Fi Music Player
Connecting to my phone seems fine. It always seems to use AAC even though LDAC(HQ) is selected though. I can't quite figure out what's going on. It was working yesterday, but I can't get to connect now. Upairing and pairing again doesn't seem to work. On the Q1 itself, it always stays at the...- DTKZ

Shanling Q1 - Retro-Styled Portable Hi-Fi Music Player
@Shanling I'm having problems connecting to my Q1 from my Windows 10 laptop via bluetooth. I'm trying to use it as a receiver to listen to audio from my laptop. It connects briefly but it appears as disabled in the playback devices list and it disconnects shortly after that. Any suggestions?- DTKZ

Astell & Kern KANN - DAP with Massive Storage & Battery
Hi Jason, there was what appears to be bug that was discussed earlier in the thread. When browsing by folder, if you organize your collection using alphabetical folders (26 folders labelled A-Z), a folder titled just "A" or "S" will not appear. I've worked around it by changing them to "A1" and...- DTKZ

Astell & Kern KANN - DAP with Massive Storage & Battery
I think there's some confusion here on what the Kann does when you choose to erase all data on your storage cards. The option says it erases all data. It does not say that it will format your card. Erasing and formatting are not the same thing although a byproduct of the formatting process is...- DTKZ

Astell & Kern KANN - DAP with Massive Storage & Battery
I had the same issue with my "A" and "S" folders as well. The issue is not the number of subfolders in them. My "A" folder has 43 subfolders and wouldn't display while my "T" folder has 94 subfolders and shows up with no problem. As far as I can tell, there's some bug and it just won't display...- DTKZ

Thanks. Booting my KANN with the microsd card removed solved my problem. Anyway, to contribute, for those who are having problems in Windows 10 and your KANN not being detected as an MTP device or extremely slow transfer speeds, try the following: If you've just used your KANN as a DAC, you...- DTKZ

post your grado mods....

PS1000 Impressions Thread
Just joined the PS1000 club. Always wanted a pair of TOTL Grados but the price was always a barrier for me. Decided to go one one of the local headphones stores today and they were selling their ex-demo Grado sets. Picked up one of the PS1000s for roughly USD$600! One question though, these...- DTKZ
