Sorry for the confusion the 3.5mm connection is analog and only needs amplification The DAC position feeds the source digital signal to the headphone DAC for 24/192 conversion The headphone CODEC converts the wireless signal to analog That’s my understanding

Researching a bit more I think the Px8 uses the CODEC to convert the signal for all connections Barhys use the CODEC for the wireless and 3.5mm conversion and a separate 24/192 DAC for the USB C/DAC position
