Bah. Had a chance to listen to the AD-2000X briefly in the Taipei Audio-Technica store this afternoon, and came away mightily impressed. Soundstage seems more than adequate for chamber music, and there was a really quite excellent fullness to the mids that is somewhat difficult to describe...

Project86 probably has; at the very least he owns both. I personally am incredibly satisfied with it and the 1964Ears v6 customs; there might be a very slight top end roll-off, but I would definitely say it sounds like a very neutral player. It actually has enough oomph to drive my full size Mad...

Enjoying the GS-1 immensely. Build quality is excellent, and it seems to have an uncolored, well-resolving sound. Will probably pick up the upgraded modules sooner than later.
