Any reason I should chose a dedicated CD player over a Blu-ray player when plugging into a DAC? Schiit Bifrost to be exact. 

It's much cheaper to import it from Japan than to buy one from inside the USA but I won't be covered by any warranties should anything go wrong.   Is it worth it to save? Is a warranty for headphones really necessary? I have a few and none of them have had any issues for quite some time.

When I plug my earbuds that have a inline mic into my laptop the sound is tiny until I press and hold the mic talk button, as soon as I let go it goes back to a tiny sound.    Anyone know why this happens? KEF M200 if that matters, works fine on my Schiit Asgard 2.

I have a Creative zxr and when playing a 24/192 music file, it just plays normally. I'm using foobar with wasapi. In headphone mode, the zxr is only capable of up to 24/96, so I'm wondering if it's being downsampled.   On my schiit modi, 24/192 doesn't play with foobar and wasapi, so I thought...

I can't get anything higher than 16/44.1 to play on my new phone. I go to the music player and it shows it but no matter how many times I click it, it won't play.    It's a Sony Xperia Z2. First Andriod ever, I got sick of iOS.

OK, not literally a 8in woofer but something very bassy. Sometimes I want a ton of bass especially when I listen to electronic music or a song with some very low end lows.    Preferably closed-back headphones.    Would the Beyerdynamic 770 250ohms be a good candidate? 

I have a Denon 1912 reciever with a pair of Martin Logan motionflow 12's and when I'm playing anything higher than 16/44.1 it starts to sound really bad. Ear piercing highs, mids are all over the place.   Is the built-in DAC the problem? Speakers are 4ohms, reciever is only rated up to 6ohms...

Does the frequency response on the headphones being different from the amp affect anything? Or should I just not look at the numbers?

Can't decide which one to get...   Which one would you guys buy?   I currently own Klipsch S4's and they don't sound really good to me anymore, I brought them when I was still a young audiophile. Not enough bass, really weak. Mids are okay and highs are terrible to me. 

Is there a noticeable difference between CCA and pure copper conductors for stereo RCA cables? Not asking about speaker wires, just RCA.
