Anyone using the McIntosh MS500?

I use remote almost exclusively.

Synology has their own RAID, and hyper back up. How do you back up these expensive streamers?

Are you suggesting that SSD keeps you from needing redundancy for data?

My RAID is no longer accessible due to Synology no longer supporting USB. Are these dedicated streamers arrays or single drive?

Anyone have experience using OPPO BDP-103 as streamer? I would have to move everything around and now I'd be competing with TV room for listening. Currently, TT2 is in wine loft. Would also lose use of my tube amp

Thanks for all the replies. I must have been incorrectly under the impression optical wasn't able to support the higher resolution files greater than 24/96 and DSD. I have as few DSD and 192/24 So must get USB streamer... Will need to get something on the cheap until after we move.

Maybe this is a lack of knowledge on my part, inputs on back of unit are USB, Optical and BNC?

Bad News, Bad News this is just terrible! Synology announced they will be discontinuing USB support with their new DSM 7.0 update. This will render my TT2 with no way to get hi res files. I've already complained but they seem not that interested in a work around. Short of buying a new source...

Have you tried a different USB cable? Sorry if I missed you tried that. You can add Synology NAS to the intermediate group. I'd give it a leg up since it can do a lot more than just stream music! I don't have "golden ears" so to me system sounds excellent direct to TT2 and my A&K over Wi-Fi...

Western Electric is making 300B tubes again so it will be nice to hear a NOS vs. NEW

This is why I use a NAS, Music access from anywhere. TT2 isn't ever unplugged.
