Sometimes I use my T5p, sometimes my Momentum. It's always nice to know I have options incase a headphone jack or USB cable breaks Also I don't store my music on my smartphone, which is pretty basic & "low end".

DP-X1 was always fine with a receiver or car audio, but it was unusable with my Momentum Wireless whilst walking & placed in my jeans or coat pockets, kept cutting out every 5 seconds, hope this will be much stronger.

I was going to buy this as a replacement for my DP-X1 until I found out that Tidal won't work offline due to the OS.

I don't think you can tell, If you have a, X1A, they'll be a bit stronger but still not great. Buy some 3.5mm & 2.5mm extension or adaptor plugs, stick em in when you get it new, don't remove them, would be the safest thing.

Thanks so much for the response! I'm going to ask Romi for the headphone jacks to be completely replaced. I don't care about the capacitors, the device sounds fine to me, and my headphones are low-impedence enough that the 130 volume limit doesn't do much.

Also, random question since I didn't know where else to put it, when manufacturers list a headphone amp's output power as 75+75 mW for 1 kHz @32 ohms, is the volume that the device could produce when turned up 100%, quantifiably similar as a device that is listed as just 150mW for 1kHz @32 omhs?

DP-X1 has Android, which allows you to stream from Tidal, Apple Music, Spotify, etc. I believe the S1 has exactly the same sound processing facilities as the X1, it's the computer parts that are more simple.

For some reason, the T1p's tonality becomes slightly darker, richer & bass seems fuller when paired with a T5p cable. Which makes it less fatiguing, without noticeably sacrificing resolution, in fact the smoothing of treble glare means some details are easier to hear. Magnificent!

I've noticed that the ATC HDA-P1 has exactly the same specs as the XD-05 , same DAC chip, same output power, same weird USB slot, same physical appearance... it's a re badge. Just a heads up incase they ever run out of the XDuoo & someobeody wants an alternative.

Checking In! The T5P.2 is an amazing headphone that pushes the limit of what a closed headphone can do in terms of soundstage and detail. I feel that the T5p presents detail more plainly than my T1.

Even now i have  an Oknyo DP-x1 my A17 still gets regular use as a great sounding FM radio!!

the Amiron seems to be a real improvement on the T90, treble is less hot and in my opinion it sounds just as good as my T1p,  which would make sense as they are both effectively an easier to drive T1
