It's a Bowie kind of afternoon. My Vali 3 with a WE396A tube is giving my RS2x's a good workout.

There's a lot of good music recommended here. Me, I'm stuck in my classic rock mode. Vali 3 and RS2x's.

I've found if you relieve the tension in their cables, it makes them more pliable. Just like with a garden hose.

I've got about ten hours on my Vali 3 and it's a champ.

I've read that you should leave the amp in low gain for the best sound. But I've found that it depends on the source material and headphones that you use. So, I'm back and forth between high and low gain.

I have the SR225x's and enjoy them. I had read where the 325x's were too bright so that's why I didn't go with them.

It's even better with the Vali 3. Vali 2++ has 60 volts going to the tube. The Vali 3 has 100 which makes whatever tube that you use sound very good. My 6XX's paired well with my Vali 2++ and they sound even better with the Vali 3. Sorry to put that bug into your ear.

I got a Vali 3 yesterday and put about four hours on it last night. It made my RS2x's sound very enjoyable.

The 100 volts going to the tube is really making it shine.

Trying out my new Vali 3 this evening and loving what I'm hearing.

My new toy came about an hour ago. Put my WE396A in it and it's off to the races. Of course it sounds good right out of the box. But I want to give it a workout over the next few days to see what I actually have.

That's more complicated than my set up. Mine's pretty straight forward. Good luck.

If you look at my avatar, you'll see that I have a three-way switch that I use to control which amp I'm using. It's one in and three out. I run my DAC and EQ in and then select which amp I'm using. Hope that helps.

The Asgard 3 does works well with my Grados. My Vali 3 comes on Monday and I'm looking forward to trying that one out. It's gotten a lot of love.

I used to listen to him back in the day when I was a goofy teenager. I'm still enjoying his music all of these years later.

I was on the fence about buying a Vali 3 but eBay just made my mind up for me. I bought one with a GE 5670 tube (which I have already) for $158 delivered. I'll get it sometime next week. Deal of the Day!
