Best DAC option for $250 and under. Needs to be semi-portable.
I'm looking for a new DAC because my previous one was stolen. My target is $250, but could perhaps be a bit flexible. I'm considering anything from $100 to $400 basically. The two options I'm considering the most right now are either Modi 2 Or Modi 2 Multibit. I'm not sure if the extra $150 for...- nullstring

VE Monks are too big for my ears. What can I get that is similar that might fit my ears better?
I just got my order of VE Monks in. I am downright impressed with how good they sound. There are some obvious flaws but they are incredibly engaging for $5. Is there anything that is as good or better than the VE Monks that might fit my ears better? Hopefully something in the under $40...- nullstring

So uh, if anyone is ordering from mouser soon and wants to do me a favor, I ordered the wrong resistors.
I need 10 of RN55D3320FB14. (I ordered 332k ohm instead of 332 ohm ) It seems so silly to pay $10 for 10 resistors. If someone could add these to their order and then send me an envelope, I'd be appreciative. I'll probably make an order sometime this weekend otherwise.- nullstring

Sub $200 USB DAC for the office
I am looking to get back into this hobby with some D2000's (Or maybe SRH940's) for the office. I'll need a DAC to pair with it and there seems to be a large influx of cheaper DACs into the community. I was originally just going to buy a FIIO E10, but it looks like there might be some...- nullstring

Cheapest DAC board with I2S input?
I am looking for a cheaper DAC that will do I2S input. Sound quality isn't necessarily a factor if the device is cheap enough, it's more for a proof of concept project. These are what I know of Partially populated gamma1 gamma2 OPUS COD Is there anything else that might be...- nullstring

best IEM's for movies ~$100
Folks, I am looking for an IEM for the use of watching movies/TV/netflix. I find my AD700's to be preferable for watching these. The wide soundstage, airy sound and the forward voices makes these perfect for watching TV/movies, etc. I find myself wanting something relatively...- nullstring

Does anyone have any recommendations of a DPDT switch to use in the signal path? EDIT: I am reading that rotary switches and others can sound better than a simple switch. Is that really true?- nullstring

How much do relays effect the sound?
I am interested in amb's new attenuator, delta1, but I am slightly skeptical about the effect on relays vs mechanical switches. Now, I know that relays are used in the sigma12, which is used and incorporated into alot of headphone amps. I've just never heard anyone express an opinion...- nullstring

Digital Volume Knob Thingy
Hey guys, This isn't really audio related, but I figure you guys might know what this is, or how you do this anyway. You know how on a modern receiver, the volume knob is not a potentiometer. It's connected the controller inside, and it changes the volume setting in the controller...- nullstring

Which DIY DAC? (Opus? Buffalo? Any other contenders?)
Hey guys, I am having a hard time deciding which DAC to buy. I find that my current DAC is very lacking in dynamics and I think it's time for a change. I really liked the DAC that my (now broken) ipod had. Some sort of Wolfson DAC, and therefore I figured I might want to get an...- nullstring

remove solder from a through-hole (bantamDAC)
so, while I was making my bantamDAC I accidentally got some solder into one of the through-holes. Particularly, the ones where the USB connects to.
