The stock pads are pretty good, no complaints.  Initial clamping pressure was a little high but it's totally comfortable now after a few days of use.
Man, I still can't believe how good these phones sound...so glad I gave it a try.

He's talking about the HM5s, no doubt..

Still, these get better with time. I wear them for upwards of 3 hours at a time, and no problems for my larger-than-average head.

Just curious but has anyone here ( including EARFONIA ) tried comparing Beyer Dynamic Custom One pro to this Audio Technica MSR7ltd?
I like lively music to come out alive with balls, not dulled but not shrilly either. Has anybody here compared them before?

I use the msr7 out of the ath ha22tube amp and it definitely has super balls. They were more on the shrilly side when driven straight from the audioengine d1 Dac.

Don't know about the Beyers though.

Hi,

I just saw a really interesting offer today (175€ brand new) so I ordered immediately. Already got a Momentum 2.0 wired, will say how does it compare :)

First of all, I don't have Custom One Pro, only tried a few times in local shops and some exhibition. From memory, I like it, but it has a very different character than MSR7.  If we are to compare AT headphones with Custom One Pro, probably the famous ATH-M50 is the closest to Custom One Pro. C1 Pro is rather smooth, warm sounding and bassy (though bass level is adjustable by the lever). MSR7 and MSR7 LTD are the opposite, fast, detailed, and rather bright sounding, a little analytic.

But pairing MSR7 with tube amp like mentioned by @ianeith , sounds beautiful and enjoyable.

My ears is not big and not wide, but still have problem with the earpads. I stretch the headband too. That's why I add tissues to the earpads to make it slightly angled

Hi, I searched the internet for a replacement cable for my MSR7 but i only found something that was around $80. I'm looking for great bargain in the $30 range. I bought this for my 598 (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00MTB77L8?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o03_s00) and i'm wondering if there's one something like it for the MSR7. Mic and volume controls for android phones would be a plus but not needed.

There's a seller on ebay, KencableUK or something along those lines, his cables work, they're just listed as aux cables though. He has a good selection of lengths from 0.5m to 5m from memory.
Will post a link when I'm back on a computer if you haven't already found it by then
Edit: quick Googling shows I was wrong about the name, it's Kenable Ltd.
Here's a link to the type of cable in question:http://m.ebay.co.uk/itm/380832375018
