I think I am in love and this time I can stop searching for new headphones. These fit perfectly to my music
He only tested the DT-770 so far. But as they share the basic construction, I think you can take their measurements to get a good comparison with the T5p.
I definitely prefer velour pads. Pleather was terrible.
I think this is good for bad track quality. Just listened song from my favorite artist which is notoriously bad at mastering and still sounds epic.

The youtube clip sounds horrible with my DT1770 on higher volumes. On low volume its ok
I love the song. I doubt youtube helps the quality, but it sound as bad straight from cd. For me it still sounded good on dt1770
Whats your DAC and AMP?
I'm using my DT-1770 at the office where I'm sitting less than a meter from colleagues. No problem at all, even at loud levels.
But if you are this worried about leakage, maybe you should consider custom IEM's instead of headphones..!?

This is one example where the vocals are EQd too hot giving a harsh presence especially with higher volumes. Can other DT1770 owners agree?
I didn't find this harsh. I wonder at which volume you listen this though...
This sounds harsher to me: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fQF3EucE53E
Lots of treble. But in general I find the DT-1770 give the vocals more presence most of the time.
