Bumping this...what upgrade cable do you use? I'm in the market for a higher end copper cable. Thinking the Effect Ares II or something similar. Let me know!

Effect Ares II (came with my Bravados) give a nice beefy warm signature. Oodles of smooth and beautiful bass. A/B tested this with my pure silver custom cable (more treble extension and forward vocals + tighter bass).

Hey guys,
Is the Polaris a 0.75 or 0.78 MMCX connection? I ordered a custom cable through Sammy at Rhapsodio for this and would like to clarify so we get the connection right.

Pretty sure 0.78 and 0.75 is for 2-pin configs. MMCX is a one size universal.

You're right indeed! Not sure why I was confused on that.

Great great IEM all around.

Just got a pair of these in the mail today. I've never owned IEMs before, so this is a new experience. I'm thinking of upgrading to a balanced cable, but I'm not sure of any good brands to look into. Reading this thread, it looks like silver cables will brighten the sound, so I guess I'll stick with a copper cable or maybe go with SPC.

At CanJam NY this year I asked Ken what upgrade cable he would recommend for the Polaris. He said the best match was the Copper Litz that it came with. Because of that It purchased the Copper Litz balanced from CA.Just got a pair of these in the mail today. I've never owned IEMs before, so this is a new experience. Just bought Polaris yesterday, really like the character...
just question regarding cable and eartip,
cable : 4 vs 8 vs 16 braid copper, is it make a different?
eartip : isolation like foam but better durability... I am a careless guys, already broke 2 foam

cables... there has been no science to prove that they make a difference. but some people will fight to the death defending their' experiences that they do make a difference. ultimately your own personal choice. you need to go try them out and see how you feel .
eartips. I also like the foam sound with the Polaris, as it is a little warmer. but I totally understand how the costs can add up over time. perhaps try the spinfits?

Yeah. You definitely need to try. I'm of the belief that cables make a difference, but... I have no first hand experience and won't know for sure until I actually get to try.I see. well the seller really try to upsell me... and almost success to me... since he doesn't have demo.

noted,
I have a silver plate cable mmcx, have not try it, since I am already enjoy the copper.
eartip : spinfit, not bad...
edit :
Cable : using silver plate, doing A/B test, not much different, a bit bright on Silver, but the bass is a bit smoother... stick to copper...
eartip : experience something sting in my ear canal using spinfit... must not stick to deep...
