I have just listed my 9200s on ebay, happy to discuss via here if anyone is interested. Uk only unfortunately. They were bought via a fellow headfi poster. Message for further details
If I may ask, which cans are you getting after these?

But of a strange answer... I picked up the atticus. I really liked the 9200 but I could just see myself upgrading the rest of the chain, and then spending stupid money on something like the rognir. In short.. I have stopped chasing perfection and just want to chill.

ZMF Atticus are great cans, so I understand what you did. A fair bit different that 9200, but very likable, so enjoy!

They are different indeed, which is the appeal. I find the hemps punch so much above their price. They give me the detail, low end thump and grunt I like, which is what I found the 9200s offered as well. So no point having bothZMF Atticus are great cans, so I understand what you did. As for Hemps, I've read a lot of good stuff about these too and they have quite the following. One day I'll try them too and they're actually very high on my list of (still affordable) stuff to listen toThey are different indeed, which is the appeal. I fully recommend them.. the 9200 were probably the best sounding cans I have owned without eq, Just not enough too justify the price. As for Hemps, I've read a lot of good stuff about these too and they have quite the following. I agree, I've heard 9200 (among other Denons) more than once and I've found this model really good. It's pricey indeed, but made well.

Pricy only by normal or maybe sane standards though — high end prices continue to skyrocket without any justification beyond „we can still find someone willing to pay that“ 10k€ anyone for that Audio Technica anniversary model?I agree, I've heard 9200 (among other Denons) more than once and I've found this model really good. That's true. Denon AH-D9200's retail price makes it a mid-tiered product in comparison to i.e. Susvara, but as you've said, still rather expensive for normal standards

I'm selling my pair as well. Liked the overall sound signature but the treble was a bit too hot and the openings of the stock pads are too small for my ears. I may pick up a D7200 down the line and try the Stax 009 pads, which supposedly performs on par with a D9200.

Stax 009 pads
Anything special about these? Or is the 7200+Stax pads combo something that's known to work well? Just curious
