Really interested in it, what cassette mechanism does it use? Is it a clone of the Tanashin mechanism that are used in the cheap tapes players coming out today or something of better quality?

What i need is a 3.5mm and 2.5mm with a huge internal battery design better yet add a ac power outlet etc and sent me all the hong kong cassettes yall have fiio etc...
Oh and add a micro sd slot with a 2.5inch screen and make sure theres high quality external fiio hi-fi speakers and bingo fiio, best of both worlds etc...

The FiiO CP13 has a USB-C connector, which is used only as a charging port. Therefore, we don’t think it can be connected to a computer. It’s a shame, because the ability to archive old recordings would be extremely attractive to many.

CP13 not have speakers and not have screen,
Now it is only a cassette player,
It's a purely analog sound output, and we didn't want to add too much digital-related things into it
But we can't give away that many. We've selected a dozen songs and made it into a licensed tape to give away to some of our subscribers in countries that support the giveaway
You should know that some countries don't allow this kind of tape with songs to be sold through the internet, so we can't give it away in those countries or regions.

I have a large collection of walkmans including the best ever made which in my opinion is the Sony wm-d6c. This is very exiting news and i can't wait to get a sample for review and comparison against some older walkmans equipped with some of the best mechanisms and heads ever made. What is missing from the industry right now are driving portable cassette players that have heads and driving mechanisms that can stand next to older models.

I still have my 1980's Sony Pro Walkman WMD-6C cassette deck. The CP13 looks cute!! "The more things change the more they stay the same." Just out of curiosity, how good is the fidelity on the CP13?
For me, this would be great for being able to transfer music I have on cassette that doesn't exist in any other form as well as for using my fairly extensive collection of cassettes on the go.
Somehow I suspect it wont be any good for connecting to a PC to transfer the music as I expect there isn't an ADC in it to output to USB.
