Guys if i'm using my NAD stereo amplifier (pre/lo), better use LO output mode (volume knob on k9 not working) or PRE output mode (volume knob on k9 works) ?

Testing time with scarlet mini how can i take off the bluetooth antena since i dont use it ?

Hi,
1. It is recommended to use the K9 rear panel LO output and set to PRE mode which is volume adjustable.
2. K9 antenna is locked in the shell, taking off would need to disassemble the K9 so it is not recommended to do that by yourself.

Don't know if your testing time over. But interesting to hear your experience compared to your k7. Was worth to upgrade for you?

Absolutely YES , at least with fat freq scarlet mini.
Sound changed betwen 15-30h of playing noticeably, i listen few tracks "out of the box" than i was using mostly as dac on my sub and speakers, then after 30~~ h i listen again on my iem-s.

The dynamics and the bass is TOP for me, bass have a little longer decay with i like and have very warm signature.
Mids are much better on k9 akm than k7, also i no longer have need to reduce mid bass around 90-180 hz.

EDM sounds fantastic, also some synth wave is honey for my ears.

Also as pre amp/dac (connected to NAD stereo amp) KEF q100 and REL ht 1205 mk II sounds fantastic , like u taked out the blanked form the speakers.

If u want better control get pro ess "audiophile sound" but who like this? sound that is boring and linear

Agree, k9akm is hard to beat at their tuning and price. People say m23 dap is k9akm in portable form but for pure dekstop device and just sound without android - this device i see as a best deal from fiio. Ofcourse not all like akm tuning but it really gives more musical and enjoyable sound. If done right like fiio makes these days.
