I've just installed the 1.16 and noticed the equalizer doesn't work at all. After setting up my EQ and after closing and reopening the Fiio app the settings are reverted.
Even after switching the 3 modes it get's reverted. I tried to set the EQ on all 3 custom effects but not even one of them save the settings.

After updating the App the equalizer works now. One bug I noticed is that when you play music and open the fiio app at the same time the equalizer settings have false values but after stopping the music and reopening the app the values are fixed. It doesn’t have an effect to the equalizer saved on the KA17.
Could you add the bit depth value on the main screen? At best next to the sample rate or change it every x seconds. This would be great.
Sorry if this is a dumb question but this device the EQ, can you set it using an Android device and then use it on an iPad and still have the EQ apply or does it only when when the APP is present and running on the device?

Using 4.4 mm (and desktop mode on KA17), the KA17 has better soundstage and layering. Micro-detailing is slightly better on the TP50 but the TP50 is more harsh/sterile.
However, beyond stock tuning, the KA17 has PEQ on android app, which can actually boost the clarity and upper frequencies to hit almost the same amount of micro-detailing as the TP50.

I use USB audio player pro to playback dsd (dsf 2.8mhz) files and high resolution flac ( a mix of 24 bit 96 - 192) files.
My main query is in regard to the peq -
Is the peq available in pure bitstream mode as in my current firmware version the preset and custom settings have no effect when the ka17 is fed a dsd stream?
Is this simply because usb audio player pro is taking over permissions due to its exclusive mode and rendering the fiio app redundant in the background?
For users on here that are having success tweaking the peq for their own tastes and flavours of headphones - what apps are you using for hires playback on android that can take advantage of the fiio app running in the background?
I think I might update my review as this version adds lots of good features. Especially for those with a Mac or even an iPhone (as the editing of the filters in Chrome on a Mac works). This new website for editing though seems a little buggy in that it connects and disconnects randomly within my Chrome but I was able to change the EQ filters and it seemed to save them back to the KA17.
Also, some of those other missing features are also in this upgrade like Low pass / high pass filters and I see there is an updated FiiO Control application.
Though the names of the custom filters aren't exactly the same when I look at the EQ profiles in the FiiO Control App - I guess there are a few little bugs still but this update is so much better for providing control over the KA17.
