There's a section for home theater and that's where they hide the headphones . If not, if there's a B&H center around you, they'll have em.
What is a b&h center?

I only heard one of them, the rock ballad. They both make it sound nice, but I might slightly prefer the ws99 for the slightly deeper soundstage and warm signature. I would imagine that heavy metal might sound the best on the MDR 1r because of its agressive nature. It's kind of a toss up between the two. Get the 1r for comfort, ws99 for sound. Grado would be perfect (sr325i) but they're open so that's a no go.
Woops when I said I couldn't hear the song, it was because the videos don't work on portables. I don't have a pc around me right now so I can't hear the song.
Nice choice. They look wonderful, and people imo just don't understand the importance of the aesthetics of headphones. No, comfort, build, sound are more important but I simply can't buy a headphone if it looks ugly. Only thing is, mdr 1r actually sounds great for the price point!
Took a while to make a decision...
Nah, the 1r doesn't leak. It has a vent its no biggy. It helps out the sound. I'll be getting the new kef m500 soon so I'll compare it to my 1r and ath ws99.
Has anyone recommended the D600s or the Pro 900 from Ultrasone? Really good cans both of them.
