So my wife made me give in and take down the Christmas decorations, but as a final act of my displeasure I repurposed the fairy lights. There's till some work to be done on sorting the wires out - particularly that tangle of tentacles to the right of the fireplace ha.
I like to listen to pink noise, warble tones and frequency sweeps. Sometimes I enjoy having my guests listen to my speaker cabinets with a stethoscope so I can regale them with stories about how the internal bracing is as good as any speaker at 10x the price.
You don’t have to, the stock batteries already sound great. It is just for people who would love to maximize their system potentials into the “last drop” of %
You also have to worry about the room temperature. It will sound best if you listen/test your music in a walk in freezer or place your gear in a regular freezer and gently close the freezer door on your cable. Another worry is ear wax best is to remove the wax in the center of your ear canal and leave the wax coating your ear canal walls. Actually if you can freeze this wax it will allow the treble to travel much easier into your ear drums. Epic conditions.
... and there were no parts, and all was darkness above the void...
... and the PCB manufacturers created the boards and saw that they were good...
... and the QA/QC department divided the good boards from the bad boards, the good boards were brought forth and multiplied...
... and the Production Line divided Finished Products from the seas of parts and saw that they were good...
... and the PR Department brought forth photos such that the Finished Products could be seen by all the People...
... and Schiit saw that it was good and said, "Let there be Loki Max."
I guess I just chafe a bit when opinions are expressed with an assurance befitting established facts.
I scratch my head in befuddlement over some of the diehard audio preferences people have. Evidently, they’re hearing something I am not. Actually hearing it, not an illusion provoked by suspect factors to which I am supremely immune.
Now k-pop is a different story but I recognize my incorrigible antipathy as pure bias.
To each his own, gratefully, particularly concerning matters as socially inconsequential as audio. But I do think it’s important to contradict here, not only to temper some of the echo chamber effects but because, per my own hard won experience, this doesn’t jibe.
Cheers
you can read 100 pages of how to smooth the treble response of a headphone with thousands worth of “warm” DACs, amps and cables. Maybe one person will mention reducing 6khz by 4db for free
