Thanks... I read about the battery drain... I think I'll stay right where I am.The last update with Android 9 was 1.07. Needed for amp13 support and better battery.
Latest updates with Android 11 just killed normal battery usage to which I used to, constricting me to roll back to the previous update

Yep, no other reason that I can see unless you just want a newer version of Android (which introduces its own quirks as well). Also, @paggio is right, except it is actually needed for Amp14, rather than Amp13 so if you don't intend to get Amp14, you are safe to stay where you are at (Amp13 works just fine on this version). I am also on 1.06, and I still am not seeing any reason to upgrade; even my streaming apps still work just fine (for now)...Thanks... I read about the battery drain... Any way to find out which amp (amp11 v.1 or v.2) is installed without opening the unit? Got a second hand ibasso dx300 recently, had no packaging unfortunately.
You don't need to open the unit, just extract/unmount amp cardAny way to find out which amp (amp11 v.1 or v.2) is installed without opening the unit? Got a second hand ibasso dx300 recently, had no packaging unfortunately.

Unfortunately the only way to tell without the original packaging is to take out the 2 small screws and look at the label on the amp card itself. It is a standard T3 Torx driver that will remove these screws.yes thats what I ment, not sure I have the right screwdriver around

Ok got it open, says amp11_v15D 20201117
Is it the rare mk.1 version of the amp? What are the differences to the mk.2?

Yes, I do believe that one is 11.1. The difference in sound is that MK1 is warmer, and rolled off on the top end, compared to MK2. I personally have not heard MK1, but this is what I have read on this thread. You could do a search here and probably find better comparisons.Ok got it open, says amp11_v15D 20201117

Lovely combo.Could very well be endgame for many if you don't wanna spent $3000+ for iems.
I am always about spending less and getting more... very nice looking rig!Lovely combo.Could very well be endgame for many if you don't wanna spent $3000+ for iems.
It really is.I am contrasting it with AK SP3000 atm and even though i get a slightly wider soundstage and a bit more detail with it,tonally i prefer the DX300,it just meshes so well with it.This is the iem to get in the $1000 category especially for those with DX300/320.Great synergy!
I just can't bring myself to get something new in the kilobuck range... I am still very much in love with my DX300 (and the DX160 as well; we can't leave that one in the cold) and the IT-07. I just can't find better (for my ears anyhow). It really is.I am contrasting it with AK SP3000 atm and even though i get a slightly wider soundstage and a bit more detail with it,tonally i prefer the DX300,it just meshes so well with it.This is the iem to get in the $1000 category especially for those with DX300/320.Great synergy!
But... congrats on your finding your ideal synergy.
I haven't been here for a while but just want to share with you that the SanDisk 1.5Tb microsd is now available on Amazon for $150!
Huh! Honestly, I never thought they would actually break the 1TB barrier; mostly because of lack of interest from the manufactures, because others are trying to move away from micro-SD cards altogether. That is fantastic to see and is great for us enthusiasts that have a very large local collection, and don't stream all.I haven't been here for a while but just want to share with you that the SanDisk 1.5Tb microsd is now available on Amazon for $150!

Hello everybody
I’m considering getting a DX300.
I’m interested in getting the vacuum tube card.
Does anybody have experience with this combination?
Does it worth it?
Currently I have the Cayin N3pro and the N7.
Also which Iem are you guys using with this unit?
Thanks
