Thanks so much. I can’t wait to get mine. The reviews continue to impress.

Well, it is an impressive product. Designed to look mainstream and appealing, but inside it's no joke :)

I received it today. Attached my streamer with coax, turned it on and played music! Only been a few hours but it does almost everything better than my $15,000 two channel system! Except the soundstage of course. But that it’s just different and that is why I sold my two channel as, I don’t have a good room for it anymore. The Aurora sounds fantastic anywhere in the room. More like radial speakers. The bass is right up there with the best bass I have heard. Rivals the Wilson Sasha Daw that my buddy has. I know that sounds crazy, but it is so good. Note, I am using a TWL coax and TWL power cable and a Roon streamer. I kept these items along with my BPT-1 balances power condition when I sold my two channel. Will report more later. One question, it seems like this would be a good device to just leave powered on 24/27, or is that a bad idea?

Fabulous feedback, thank you very much! Can we please use it in our social media?

I'll check, but most likely there shouldn't be a problem leaving it 24/7 on as class D and Aurora itself don't get hot.

Thanks! Of course you use it on social media. It replaced a Decware Torii MKIII with very nice NOS tubes and V-Caps, ANK 4.1 LE DAC with again the best NOS tubes and V-CAP CuFTs. ZU Superfly speakers with clarity caps. The tone is so similar, the highs are so beautiful and devoid of harness, the mid range and vocals are very 3D and the bass is just mind boggling. How is this possible? Amazing. I went from 16 tubes in my 2-channel system to one tube!

There is nothing gimmicky about the Aurora. Calling it a lifestyle systems does not do it justice. Of course it is, but is also a serious audiophile component that will not leave you feel your missing out if you don't have a dedicated listening room or don't want to rearrange you living room to a traditional 2-channel set-up that only sounds its best in one chair.

Anyone in Canada reading this, I highly recommend Rob at Art et Son: https://artetson.ca Give him a call and talk about it. He was so helpful because even with all the good reviews I wasn't sure, and wanted to talk to something who has heard the Aurora and the Naim Muso. He sells both. Fantastic service as well.

Well, Srajan at 6moons.com was amazed as well and gave his prestigious award to Aurora, so you're not alone with your findings! Thanks!

Folks, our latest Bluetooth firmware for Aurora and ZEN Blue is available here:

https://ifi-audio.com/firmware/bluetooth-firmware/

The list includes:
  • LDAC operational improvements
  • HWA operational improvements
  • Minor bug fixes
Hi @iFi audio ,
I just bought the Aurora. Great one! There is something I need your help. When I connect my Ibasso DX220 to Aurora using SPDIF -> TOSLINK -> Optical port on Aurora. The frequency is only limit to 44.1 or 48 Khz only. And it's totally no sound when I try to play DSF/DSD files.
The cable I use: Supra mini Toslink to Toslink (https://www.av-connection.com/?PGr=7069)
Is there any suggestion to play the hi-res music file to the Aurora because 50% of my collections are in DSD/DSF format. Thank you.

From Denon:

TOSLINK is a standardized optical fiber connection system. Its most common use is in consumer audio video equipment via a "digital optical" socket where it carries a digital audio stream between components such as BD Players, Cable / Satellite boxes, and CD players. TOSLINK may use inexpensive 1 mm plastic optical fiber or it can use higher quality multi-strand plastic optical fibers or even quartz glass optical fibers depending on the desired bandwidth and application. Although optical cables are not meant for playback of HD audio, (192 kHz) it can provide transfer for standard PCM, Dolby Digital, and DTS signals up to 96 kHz.

Thank you for your information. It's strange that the cable spec states that it's capable for 32bit/384 Khz.

That is a nice cable. Optical does have it’s bit-rate ceiling. In your case it also may be the port’s ceiling, regardless of the cable. Though optical is great as there is no conductive property to the cable. No possibility of ground loop hums. Still 44.1 or 48 kHz may be what you get?

Yes, confirm the cable is excellent. I didn't hear any noise or hum. Still looking for the cause and will update here whenever I find it. Thanks.
