This is priced very steep for the iDSD crowd, though I hope the performance warrants this! Sadly, this is a pass for me. I love the RCA outs and easy integration of the iDSD BL into my current system. The USB to coax conversion and all the adjustability are of huge benefit. I'm very glad I got a late gen BL before they disappeared.

I have to agree the price is steep for most. To be fair I'm sure it's a fantastic product but it seems to lack one thing that I see a majority of the market going towards and that's wireless connectivity functionality.

But I will need to ask. Why the diablo and the idsd signature? Are they that much different? I can say diablo looks much more portable and super flashy! LoL while idsd signature more desktop style and more elegant looking.

Can the Diablo be used as a desktop DAC bypassing the internal battery?

What I really want is an iDAC3 with a screen to display bitrate, inputs etc.

Bluetooth would be sort of convenient, but the other side of the coin is that BT chip tech and codec standards change so often the device would be out of date 2 mins after launch, all for a compressed format. If the Diablo is as high end as the tag suggests, would you really want to put up with feeding it BT compressed quality at all? Since the Diablo is portable ( ish🙃 ) I'd just use whatever cable and all is bit perfect with the world. I'd rather use a separate BT receiver with digi out, or just one of those Fiio BTR3/5 standalone devices instead if I ever wanted maximum BT experience.

I was holding out for the Diablo and was expecting it to have the xBass and 3D functions. Surprisingly, they have been omitted. Can iFi shed some colour on why they decide to remove these 2 functions?

A display and playback capabilities, would make it perfect.
