For me this switch leads to a new IFI LAN silencer which is directly placed in my ZS’s Ethernet slot. Going to test it.

Want a clean a signal going in as possible.

In your system, how does the switch compare to the stock wifi? Are you running your primary router into it or...?

My single system:
AT&T Fiber to House combined BGW 320 Fiber modem/Router->IFI LAN silencer>75 ft Ethernet CAT 6->Wall Plug->.7 meter Inakustik Ethernet cable to Switch powered by IFI -X 5 volt->then .7 meter Inakustik cable to IFI LAN silencer into ZS->Audioquest Cinnamon SPDIF-> Schitt Bifrost 2/64–>>second cable out of Switch by SOTM Cat 7 cable to “optical moat” (Small Green Computer Transducer to fiber then back to Copper)->Inakustik .7 meter cable->Aurilac Mini-> USB Curious Cable to Schitt Bifrost.

Bifrost 2/64->Inakustik Balanced cables->Linear Tube Preamp->Inakustik micro air interconnects->Bryston Amp->Van Den Huul speaker cables-> Magnapan LRS+. REL sub.

Allows comparison of both streamers.

Wow so you've got two silencers going, interested to hear how those combinations turn out

Tracking says mine should be here tomorrow or Monday 🤞

Correct. I placed them in transition unfortunately so will need to let them settle and then change out. Will also use another set of ears to confirm any potential differences and report.

Keep up the good work!

(My switch enroute but slow boat.)

I hate to be a burn in bro, but I think it's been helpful here. Nothing crazy, just leaving it on the rack overnight.

I don't find any of the conversation irrelevant to the thread as in most cases the iSilencer is involved in the chain somewhere, although a bit off-topic for perhaps the average reader, that does not mean it doesn't have value and can lead to folks perhaps experiencing a better streaming experience with our equipment and a few tweaks!

Cheers!!

Thanks!

My ZS is back after “The Spa” with update and appears “much more stable.”

The isilencer (2nd) is in your favored position directly in the ZS. Just downstream of the switch we are attempting to sort out.

My thinking is that if the iSilencer is right at the "port of entry" then any noise occurring before that is irrelevant. However since the change to Fiber Optical in my home, I have not worried about this as much, but then I think there are so many opportunities for this between where my fiber ends and copper starts that it is best to have it as close as possible.

Cheers!!

I remain sort of in the nodal mentality targeting points including entry and after long copper runs.

I put an isilencer right after fiber modem/router in-house
before 70 foot copper Ethernet run and after (along with wall plug and switch).

Now that stereo set-up can experiment with optimization.

Add-on my two switches I use IFI-X power for speed. Big debate here, but for speed SMPS should win.

Bad news: Amazon's return policy on the switches is a pain, they dont allow returns, had to fight to get a refund on the 105 (means I'm keeping the 108)
Also bad: Tracking on the Silencer has gone silent for the past 4 days, no clue when it'll arrive now, in limbo
Good: I've gotten used to the router+108 sound and think I'm preferring it now, so I'm way more excited to try the Silencer in the chain now :D

Well, I am hoping they sent me the correct 108-Have pic so can return as not the correct order.

Amazon does seem to be getting more sticky with returns overall.

Great.

I am set for the 108 switch to show for break-in.
