If you read back to my earlier impressions of the iCAN SE, you'll note that it took a long while to burn in to really give of its very best. It was up against tough competition - a well used iCAN. This stuff really improves over time - even if you don't believe in it.

One issue I still have is it doesn't work with my HTC 10 which is a shame. Another issue had is when I went for a walk at lunchtime with the Nano BL in my pocket the volume gradually decreased with the movement, until I couldn't hear it any more, I need to design and 3D print some kind of volume control lock or cover.

Your HTC 10 needs to be in the USB host mode. Please see here:

Upgraded to the latest 5.3C firmware a few days ago and everything was working fine. Including LED and such. Suddenly this morning audio won’t play anymore. Tried reverting to the stock firmware and audio was fine again. When I upgraded again it stopped working again.

When will we learn who will be receiving the Tour IDSD Nano BL, and in what sequential order?

Yes, you are correct in your thinking; it is designed to use battery power if turned on before connecting USB, and to use USB power if connected to USB before powering on. The manual also recommends using battery power to avoid the power error message, but I was pleasantly surprised to read (above) that it could work on USB power only with an iPhone, at least when the battery is drained. I was just surprised that USB power mode didn’t work at all when the battery was full.

In short, nano iDSD BL has to be run off its own battery. There's no other way arround it.

Where did you get the impression that I don't believe in it? I BOUGHT IT, and I'm willing to consider spending even more money to get it to work well within my personal situation re: wiring. Sorry if the "not showing it love" didn't come across well, maybe that's what triggered it. I'm not the best writer, and I can be a bit verbose (or whatever the writing equivalent is).

I loved it (at the store) => bought it (believe in it) => took it home, and due to a potential "no earth" situation - it sounds like a$$, has a ton of interference coming through (neighbor's TV) and hisses and pops and hums and whatnot. So, I asked the kind folks at iFi for some help and they recommended another HKD 380 add-on (groundhog) which I'm willing to trek out to get and buy if it'll work. If that ain't belief in something, then I'm not sure what gets me over the hurdle in your mind.. Seriously though, thanks again for the great help and feedback.

same problem bro. sometimes it will play, sometimes it won't. u have to unplug and plug it back for many times to play it back.

5.3C RC2
(MQA Release Candidate 2) this firmware update fixed and solved my problem. =) now observing and monitoring if problem occurs.

Noted - Sorry for misinterpreting. All good. After some time with them, I'll share more impressions in the associated threads. I'm mucking up the Nano BL thread with my ramblings... but I still want to demo one!
