I have been enjoying my Be XTC-C^1.5. Been using them every day during work since I've had them. Not fatiguing, very balanced sound........warm, yet detailed LOL. I really like the wood John send me for my cups too. I'll have to post a pic soon to show them off.

I sold my VC before I got the XTC, but they're pretty similar in terms of sound quality. Going off memory, XTC might have a little more bass. VC is more solid, but it's also a lot heavier.

The best news of all is that the XTC costs less than half the price of the Verite Closed, which at one time was my holy grail of headphones, even appearing on Stereophile Magazine's A+ class. The fact that the XTC is even listed in the same sentence as the Verite is a tribute, much less that its sound is competitive.

I've got my pair of XTC Open on the way! These are a limited run of super hard wood cups and here are the photo's he's sent me. I'll be sure to take more once I have them in hand. There's also a youtube short of them here.
