Finally got my hands/ears on Sultan. These were the last IEMs remaining in my 'previous' gen TOTL listen list (Odin, LX, U18t, Fourte, Erlkonig, Infinity Mk2). I'm not in any rush to tackle the 'current' gen (Traillii, Fir Frontier series, EVO, etc.)

Curious that I was asking to @SeeSax if did he compare kublai with lastest TOTLsFinally got my hands/ears on Sultan. I know sultan is very different and more bass oriented then Kublai…

Mark @SLC1966 and I are working on a thorough comparison of that and I think that's probably going to be a common question. Hopefully have something for you soon! I think between us we have had about five versions of Sultan tooCurious that I was asking to @SeeSax if did he compare kublai with lastest TOTLs

But for initial impressions, Khan has a cleaner signature with a clarity focus (but still very musical and not cold sounding). Sultan is all out fun in comparison with a more bodied bass, including more mid-bass presence, which changes the signature a bit. I hear thicker mids and a smoother treble with a more gradual roll-off into upper treble. Khan goes all the way up and keeps the energy and sparkle more front and center, but no sibilance or harshness. Treble is just outstanding on Kublai Khan.
