One more that o800 stands out than b2 is coherency/timbre. It is obvious to me in the vocal department when B2 sometimes struggle to deliver vocal in a better lifelike weight.Pleasure is mine, hope it helps some readers here out!
Good comparison actually, many would not think to do this given the price difference, OH300/500 are more obvious competitors with their hybrid setup as well.
But I agree with you on this, the O800 is more behaved and refined in its presentation. I know many like the Blessing 2 and it is almost a marvel at the price, but I personally find it a bit intense. I find the O800 very likeable and am a fan of how it isn't at all detail-deficient despite being so smooth

Blessing 2 only works in a clinical setting, like in a chorale. I find them pretty dry, non lifelike. Fantastic for chorale though, because it's very impersonal.

can O800 compete with IT07 or Volt?

So I saw the OH800 is finally released. I had received a final prototype in July 2020.
I am a fan of the OH500, but I definitely prefer the OH800 for my personal taste. More neutral, cleaner, transparent. It's very quick and precise, with good resolving qualities.
Here's a measurement of OH300, OH500 and OH800 together.
Blue: OH300
Amber: OH500
Green: OH800
And OH800 alone:

Just checked the oriveti website. There is also a new OH400 model. No hybrid, 4BAs
I noticed they actually match their prices to the model number

Ah, a better naming scheme for sure.
I still enjoy my oh500. Curious about the O800, frequency response looks pretty good, but too expensive just to satisfy my curiousity

Hello!
Could anyone tell me, how OH500 plays prog-rock/-metal (Dream Theatre, Leprous, Haken,..)? Do they suit to this genre?
My primary source - Opus #1S. I'm not a bass head.
I want to get rich, comfortable, smooth, but well detailed and holographic sound (wider, deeper and taller than average).

They are great for this type of music - I got mine for all types of metal and they are detailed and quick enough with a darker timber. I am selling mine because they’re too nice for me!Hello!

They are custom tuned knowles driver, but I assumed the high frequency drivers are TWFK-30017. Midrange still don’t know, combined driver from knowles??Does anyone know name of armature drivers that are in OH500?
I got OH300 recently, and it surprised me very much. Bass falls deep and solid. Mid is clear and full. Treble is just right. I compared it with my favorite Moondrop Variations, and OH300 does not fall short much. Of course Variastions has more air and more detail (thanks to its EST), yet OH300 is more comfortable.

Hello
Does anyone have a comparison of the OH500 to the Ultrasone IQ? Which one is more detailed?

Anyone with OH500 experience know how they’d compare sound signature wise with the Thieaudio Oracles?
