No. A power conditioner is a passive filter. Power regenerators fully reconstruct the 120V 60 Hz sine wave so the power supplies in connected equipment have clean power at the voltage and frequency they were designed for.I must not be understanding then. Are we talking about something that's like a fancy power conditioner? I don't understand the need, nor would I be interested in it at that price. Yes it would be nice to not have 3 if not 4 wall warts for all of my Schiit, but they had a solution to that some time ago that worked as far as I know and was inexpensive.
I was included in a tour of a DAC/amp combination which included a regenerative power supply as an option. The short version is I thought the amp was the system's weak link, the DAC was quite to my liking and the performance of the power supply prompted me to look at Paul McGowen's website. Power Plants big enough for my stereo are more than I want to spend and he doesn't make one sized suitably for a head phone system. Pity, because I considered purchasing one of those power supplies and then figuring out how to connect my Schiit to it. The power supply cost almost as much as the gear I would have connected to it. It's effect small, but immediately noticeable. And I noticed throughout the entire time I had the gear.
