Softears - Discussion & Appreciation

High impedance pairs well with the RSV,
Single ended output often have a higher impedance than a balance,
SE Class A amp is a great source for it,

I have the RSV winging their way to me right now. Very much looking forward to listening to them, especially given my extreme love for @Softears’ Cerberus. Will post my impressions once I’ve had some serious listening time.

Mest has laidback mids compared to Witch Girl W6.2, aroma is warmer but I have only 14h burnin.
I’d reach 200h to have a right comparison.

Buddy you would love it, I’m considering Thunder also😅😅😅

the RSV has a flat(edit)phase which has nothing to do with this topic, my bad

I think you will love them for a few reasons. Can't wait!

Sounds enticing :) I'm interested in trying the W6.2 too someday, and the newer upcoming Softears 1DD + 2BA

Single ended output often have a higher impedance than a balance,
Should be the other way around. Differential amplification has higher OI and also higher noise floor (though better SNR). I usually recommend SE for IEM, but in case of the lesser efficient RS10, balanced makes sense.

the RSV has a flat impedance
Not according to my testing. I measured more bass with lower impedance. It's not dramatic, but noticeable. I made no such observations with Turii or RS10, which have a flatter impedance.
