Specs and official-looking renders of the WF-1000XM5 earbuds have appeared online

Looks much smaller and more comfortable than XM4. As someone who loves Sony sound signature but can't stand XM4 fittings, this will be interesting.

Long time user of WF-1000XM4 here. Glad to see the buds shrinking in size. Not sure how i feel about the glossy plastic though..
Agree, but the white/grey looks very nice whereas I wasn't interested in the silver/white XM4 and had the black version.

The Walkman Blog has reported they could be announced as early as this month, June. Considering the number of leaks that have started to come out recently, it sounds about right.

Have used the WF-1000x, WF-1000xm3, xm4 and looking forward to the latest iteration. Great to see all these real improvements with each gen. I guess it's going to be next week now for the reveal hopefully!

I got the xm5’s at a discounted price and I’m happy with it. At first I thought it’s going to be an issue for me because they don’t fold, but this hasn’t been an issue at all. In fact it’s even better than xm4’s. No moving parts, crackling noise at the joints. I love it. My only issue is that it changes the volume to max when switching between devices. It’s driving me nuts, but I’m managing somehow.

That will be the wh- (Headphone) you have, not wf- (IEM) 🙂

This thread is about the WF-1000XM5 IEM due out soon.
