one thing i have to mention about the DT990's is that they are a little bit sibilant. i think that the DT990's would probably be driven decently by a MINT or CMoy. the DT990's are 250Ω, but they are fairly sensitive.
[edit: i just remembered that i've heard the DT990's straight out of my iPod, and it sounded decent and was louder than i would have expected. i'm nearly 100% sure that a CMoy or MINT would do an adequete job, though obviously not as well as a Moth si2A3 or something
