Budget wise, I find the benchmark dac and benchmark dac to be pretty good place to start (used ones are great value) and be satisfied for decent while. Also they are stackable and are a nice small footprint. Though fore warning some do feel the benchmark amp being a bit too neutral/lifeless for the TC. Depends on what you are looking for.

Many people seem to enjoy tubes with tc1266, either in the pre or amp. Just shove tubes somewhere and the tc1266 is usually happy.

You can put a deposit down on it at HeadAmp right now, but there is no release date yet. I'm thinking about putting a deposit down. If you don't want to wait for the HeadAmp version, you have to commission a build from a builder.

What is the difference between Diana TC and 1266 phi tc? (Who has heard both and has a stable, honest opinion about them)

The manufacturer says it is the same speaker structure, but then who would buy the much larger, more uncomfortable and heavier 1266 model?

They're expected to start shipping Fall 2023. I'm tempted to make a deposit as well, upgrading my Burson Soloist has been recently on my mind. 15W into 50ohm sounds beautiful.
