The T1s are extremely comfortable and sound great, but they miss out on intimacy of the LCD-2s. The bass is good, it's more than adequate for MOST types of music, but it's not the LCD-2. As usual, the LCD-2s are the king of that domain. The only set of cans _I've_ tried that compared to the LCD-2s bass wise was the HE-500s...followed by the Mad Dogs... The HE-500s have very similiar bass qualities, but without the smokey Audeze sound, while the Mad Dogs have a step down in bass qualities, but seem to share that smokey sound...the one that makes it seem like you're in a crowded night club where it's you, the small crowd, and the artist.
Personally, I would LOVE the T1s if I had never heard the LCD-2s. But then again, I am finding that I prefer a headphone that is warm, powerful, and full of presence. I love to feel the weight of the song and the notes...the weight of the singers voice as it hits it's peak.... and unfortunately, I have yet to find a headphone that does that as well as the LCD-2s. The one thing that bugs me about the LCD-2s is the weight in comparison to other cans. Even the HE-500, which I recall is supposed to be heavier than the LCD-2s, felt as if it were lighter on my head.
The T1s are very comfortable, very light, and bring a great quality of sound to the table... as most have said, it's a great all arounder. I don't listen to a lot of different types of music, so I don't need an all arounder. If I did, then it would be a much harder choice for me.
