While almost all vape shops now carry mostly disposables, mostly 70-80% of their inventory, I am the total opposite of that number.

While I respect everyone’s needs I just find disposables to be a step going backwards as far as nicotine consumption. Disposables are 50mg nic and some go ans high as 65mg. They are also environmentally unfriendly and not cost effective.
All true, but they are also much more profitable for the larger (corporate) companies that make the disposables vs. the tanks / attys / mods made by smaller (private) companies. More money, more political power, more influence in legislature -> more money.

Nothing will change tho except now they are more and more easily getting into hands of minors thru gas stations.

There’s also less rda/rta being sold and marketed in the US. Most are now refillable pod based systems which are designed to be practical. Our shop itself don’t carry anything rebuildable and anything that still use glass tanks. We are also a 1 brand shop for a good 5 years now which all see as crazy but works. 9 yrs in the shop biz and 9 yrs curating what we carry has been our bread and butter.

I aim to reduce any health risks by vaping dry leaf.

I want to stay away from all vaping chemicals and carbon smoke.

I made a DIY vape pipe using a soldering iron, a box, and a jam jar (see Google for ideas). Cost about $40

These are $35 and $30 respectively. Both are 1000mAh, they use the same pod ranging from 1.2 down to 0.6 resistance, both auto draw function except the $35 one has option to use with fire button and has air flow control. The cheaper smaller one is our biggest seller for beginners and advanced og vapers as it’s as simple as it can get.

if you are really concerned health wise about VG/PG, you should consider buying a reputable vape
a box, soldering iron and other diy stuff can give off some gases at these temperatures

i upgraded a year ago from arizer air to arizer air 2 and its definetly worth the price, the first gen arizer air lasted around 8 years and its still working (with some quicks tho, the buttons are not the best anymore for example)
also many like the cheap dynavaps, i had 2 myself, they work and are "ok" but in the long run a electric vape is a lot less hassle and more consistent tbh

also... "vaporizing" herbs isnt necessarly more healthy than vaping liquids, at the normal vape temperatures (150-230C°) herbs can also already give off some unhealthy stuff, tho its much healthier than smoking regardless

How much of a gap is there between these devices and something like Geekvape Aegis + mesh Kylin?

im also curious how (good) pod systems with meshcoil compare to good mesh tanks, tho i guess there isnt much difference beside the "cottage hassle"

but i still like the fact that i can switch the coils of my Aspire Stik so easly without any re-coiling and that stuff which i "kinda" neglect because of lazyness (i dont puff them black and gunky but i could atleast renew the cottage/coil more often)
also the coils seem pretty solid and consistant/reliable, no more too much or too few cottage problems

i use currently "Dampflion - Green Lion" Liquid (one of my favourites which is kind to coils and tastes good) and checked after around a week how the Aspire Coils are doing, beside maybe some minor degradition of taste the coils were looking rock solid, i checked with a curled toilette paper cheet if there is any residue on the coil and the only thing i saw was that the paper cheet was soaked with liquid... no coloration at all, which kinda surprised me, so it might be possible to use one coil up to two weeks, even if the taste degrades slightly (very slightly to be honest)
tho im unsure if i should give props to Aspire for the coils or to mesh coils (its my first vape with mesh coils)

---

while im here, i also wanna talk about "terpenes" as flavouring agent, did anyone of you tried this yet?
1. they last really long, you can mix around 0,5ml of terpenes on 100ml liquid to get a good taste, depending on the terpenes price this might be even cheaper in the end than longfills (if you use too much terpenes it gets a bit itchy tho)
2. i like the taste (but i just tried one terpene mix yet) for me its a good alternative to liquids, and depending on the ingredients of the liquid, terpenes might be more healthy or even beneficial, with terpenes you just have VG/PG, Nicotin and terpenes in your mix (tho i guess more or less healthy terpenes also exist)
3. kinda no time needed for the liquid to settle, but the taste gets a little smoother after a few days

Mesh coil heads have come a long way. They are getting smaller hence getting really efficient to heat them up, 0.2 can satisfyingly vaped at 35-40w and 0.15 at 40-60. These coils are also now cross compatible with other models from the smallest most portable all the way to 80w/100w pod based. Devices are also getting smaller while internal battery capacity are getting bigger using hybrid cells. I used to only vape with coils I built (this is the last one I built https://www.instagram.com/p/CWbHEY2AyNJ/ ) Never really got into the big mesh coils as they are not very efficient. I went straight to the newer smaller mesh coils. This is now how small an 80w 2800mAh pod based device is https://www.instagram.com/p/Cq0rx08p5cv/

When I vaped a lot, I used to go through 3 batteries per day, but here I understand that I can't do that and would have to wait for the product to recharge via USB?

Other than this, how far off pods are against something like a Kylin on a 0.15 mesh as far as sheer vape quality goes?

how much ml`s you use per day?
the Aspire Stik can do about 3-6ml`s with one battery charge and the 0.6ohm coil, which is kinda alot imo around the same as a charged 18650 battery with 30-35W instead of the 12-18W the Aspire can do
For me one goal also was to reduce liquid used and the vapor production is fine with 15-18W imo (honestly around the same i was getting with 30-35W before with a normal coil)
Also you can keep it mind that you can buy multiple Pod Systems.. instead of a additional battery carrying around you just have a second pod system (maybe with different flavour too for example, tho you can also carry multiple pods with you)

Also... the Aspire Stik can be used while charging (but not all pod systems), charging takes around a hour, you could charge them in a car or via a powerbank

overall idk, i like pod systems for the most part its mostly just positives compared to mod+tank imo (specially size, convenience), well one thing i miss are true glass/metall pods/tank (tho my guess is they come in the future with maybe some more fancy pod systems)

I used to do about 10-12ml (3mg juice) per day. The question I've asked was due to the fact that I'm still used to great flavor and rather big clouds, plus the versatility of quick battery swaps. If pods can keep up with regular tanks on clouds and flavor, I'd give them a try I guess, but I'm not so sure :)

As far as flavor I can honestly say YES. I have converted almost all my customers from a dual 18650 mod + sub ohm tanks to a single 21700 pod based (Oxva Velocity +0.15 pro-coil) and even down to 60w-40w non-removable-batt pod kit. The Oxva Velocity using 0.15 coil will replace any of the subtanks out there without sacrificing flavor and vapor production but it's biggest positives include smaller form factor and super fast on-mod usb-c charging when on the go. the smaller super compact 40-60w/80w pod kits are no slouch either when it comes to flavor with very good vapor production.

The Vaporesso LUXE XR PRO which I have been testing for 2 weeks straight will be coming out first week of May. Get that and I can assure you it will keep up and surpass your expectation. Pricing will be around 50-60 depending on where you get them.

Vaping devices have come a long way and the vaping majority has now converted to the more practical pod systems. The advancements has made them smaller and cheaper with more reliable safety features without sacrificing flavor and vapor production.

Thank you a ton @ThEvil0nE ! I was reading about that Luxe device and it picked up my interest. I'll gladly give it a try. Just one last thing. Since I'm used to mesh and never had any issues with buying them, I'm wondering about GTX coil heads for Luxe. Specifically about their availability say a year from now and how long you think a single coil can last?

Thanks!
