I was talking to another headfier and we talking about the Audio Technica's and the subject of the AT-W2002 came up. We both instantly agreed this is the most gorgeous cans we have ever seen. While I have not heard one and therefore cannot comment on the sound.

My top 3:

1. Audio Technica AT-W2002
2. Audio Technica AT-W11JPN
3. Grado HP-1000 (HP-2's)

Ayt999 if you would provide the shots of this eyecandy I would be more than greatful.

I'd say W2002, L3000, and Qualia 010 (although I'm not crazy about either the red or blue pads... an earth brown would look nice on them, something more like the color of the Omega II pads).

The Hp-2's don't look too bad but the Rs-1's look worse. have you seen Turner Brown's avatar? It looks like he got two giant corks in his ears.

My three choices for the best looking cans would be:

1) AT-W2002
2) AT-W11JPN
3) Sony R10

The lacquer finish (Echizen lacquer finish) on the W2002's and W11JPN's are to die for, they look much better when viewed in person. Definitely won't be selling my pairs anytime soon.

grados, the metal and wood boys
omega 2 (the pic above reminded me, they look classy IMO, like something rock hudson or humphrey bogard would wear if they were crazy, I'd give sinatra the senns)
??? whatever else, I honestly forgot how most headphones look *in detail* although I'm pretty sure they're real cool-looking.

I have the HD650, but they just look okay to me. I think Dt880s beat them in the looks dept.

Of the ones I've seen in person, the hp-1000 easily wins it.
Going by pictures too, I'd have to agree with goredwings:

hp1000

Though, I've not yet decided on the ordering of the above - would have to see the AT's in person. The hp1000 would likely win the "most rad looking" and "most sexy" categories, but the AT's would probably easily win the "most beautiful" category.
