Astell&Kern To Debut SP3000T DAP and NOVUS IEMs at CanJam NYC 2024

How big is the NOVUS compared to the Odyssey?

I tried the NOVUS at CJ NYC, and while I didn’t get to compare it side by side to the odyssey I thought that despite its larger size the fit of it was very good. Obviously this will vary by individual but the inner shell is quite smooth so I didn't find it problematic.

Also thank you @JasonNYC and colleagues for the great time at the AK booth on NYC. It was nice to finally meet you after all these years! I really enjoyed the SP3000T and am looking forward to spending more time with it.
Thanks for coming by @aaf evo. Great to put a face to the name.

Because the size of the Odyssey is an issue for me, despite the fact that they are awesome iem
Most of the answers you will get here will say something in the lines of “It’s big but it surprisingly fits well .. bla bla”. Best is to try it out on your own rather than risk it and buy it blind, especially in the EU.

Edit: On the EE thread at least I read that Novus is a less comfortable fit compared to Raven.

If i could suggest a seperate thread for the DAP and the IEM releases might be a good idea for the future. Its a pain having to wade though five pages of DAP comments to pick out the IEM stuff and probably the people interested in the DAP don't want to read about the IEM.

Just my 2p.
Even when the DAP and IEM in question are being released at the same time as a collaboration?

Expanding on the extremely popular SP3000, Astell&Kern combines the best of our current flagship player with the warm sound of tube amplification. The SP3000T features Astell&Kern’s Triple Amp System, first debuted in 2021 with the A&ultima SP2000T, which allows users customize their sound profile using tube amplification, a digital op-amp, or hybrid combination of both tube and op-amps. All three modes are available when using the 2.5mm, 3.5mm or 4.4mm outputs.
Novus IEMS have 4.4mm connection and won’t have an option for 2.5mm which all AK DAPS have. What’s the point of making these IEMS?🤷‍♂️

The 2.5mm plug has basically been replaced by the 4.4mm. Its not all bad news though the Novus uses a 2 pin connector so you can use any 2 pin to 2.5mm cable you want, or you could use an adaptor, I wouldn't, but its an option.

I have this perfectly good monitor here but its only got a 15 pin D connector what can I do.

Question to all, in particular owners of SP2000T: how is battery life evolving in time? everybody knows that heat is very bad for batteries. I suspect that tubes heat will have a negative impact on the batterie. Is this true?
Is there a case for SP2000T that would be dissipate the heat? if the answer is no, then I would think that the components lifetime will decrease
