Right, and I'm saying there are class A amps cheaper that doesn't have the heat issue
Do this amps allow you to change the current mode they're operating at, do they offer the same power that his amp offers at this price point? if so, please share them.
Its literally in the last sentence you wrote and I find your reply a little condescending
Quote me directly then where I literally say this then.
So its okay for you to give an opinion on this product but not me? got it.
You can have any opinion that you want, if you don't like this amp, that's fine, what I'm going to call you out on is trying to push your opinions as fact and when you're spreading misinformation
The software/hardware on this unit has to step in to stop the temperature from rising higher which will damage the components, that is literally the definition of overheating.
It has already been stated in this very thread that there's some issue with temperature management with this amp ad naseum, but it's not universal and some of the people reporting the issue, we don't know how there set up is, in what conditions is the amp operating at, etc. That it's very different than the amp overheating, and doing temperature management via hardware and software is very different than what you're describing.
I don't think you understand my point, the unit was designed and advertised with 100ma as a feature, so I expect to use it without a hitch, if it needs external cooling, I would very much like the manufacture to tell me before I buy the product. It has nothing to do with the sound quality.
If you're having or had issues with the amp switching to 100ma and simply not working, then you could have contacted Aune directly to see if they could've help you out with that problem, people have done so in this very thread and aune has help them. Aune has very clearly stated that this mode increases the operating temperatures of this amp and when it reaches 69 degrees, it switches back to 50ma mode, it's basically a turbo button that you have access to. Yep, I have personally complain in this very thread that if Aune had put more substantial feet on this amp like the Topping A70 pro has or higher, many if not all of the temperature concerns that people have complained about would have been adverted, but if you just raised the amp a couple of inches, most of the temperature issues with this amp go away, it's not a big deal.
I was replying to an other user commenting on his subjective view on sound. Very nice of you to take it out of context.
Yep, I understood that, and I'm not taking anything out of context. If the amp didn't sound good for you, that's fine, everybody has different tastes and preferences.
I'm glad you are not experiencing any issue with your unit, and I hope you can get years of enjoyment out of it. But for the rest of us that are having problems, this is an issue. Walk in my shoes for a moment, I come into this forum and read that your unit is nice and cool where as mine overheats in about 1 hour, and when I complain about it, I get responses telling me that "I should put up with it because its cheaper than the competition and it sounds good", "it's a feature so if it doesn't work don't worry about it". Also your experience shows that there is alot of unit variation, so maybe also QC issues?
I do get that some people have had issues with this amp, and we personally have help them with them, the most basic thing you can do is to raise the amp a couple of inches and for the vast majority of people that had issues with the temps of this amp going up like crazy, it has solved them for the most part.
I also find it shady that this amp costed less than 500 USDs brand new on Aune's official JD and Taobao store when it first came out, so about 200 USD less than it was sold for internationally. But after about a month they raised the price to match its international pricing, and when ask about it, they said that it was "on sale" when it first released.
There was a version of the amp that sold without the remote that was less expensive, but it was an exclusive for China. It's not weird or shady in anyway that Chinese manufactures do special versions and deals for the chinese market.
