Hi @iFi audio hope all is well received my replacement buds though when trying to update the firmware get the flashing green and red light. Note looks like the firmware failed after the reboot.

Tried the following with no joy

https://www.head-fi.org/threads/ifi...wireless-sound-on-the-go.967797/post-17929133

Also note I have already sent the unit back twice for disconnection isssus and the left piece stopping working when playing music and random disconnects.

Even with the new unit had problems before the firmware update where it disconnected and locked.

Not sure what to do now... Ps have updated my ticket again

Thanks

Sorry to hear of your continued issue with your GO Pods, please PM me your ticket number when you can (Just in case I no longer have it) and I will pass it on to the tech folks.

As I said above please try and include as many details as possible when contacted about the device, iems, and earloops being used, if you have already done that thanks in advance.

Cheers!!

I managed to finally update the firmware. Took about 3 attempts

Ie had to forget the device reset the one piece which was not flash green and red then managed to connect via the app did a factory reset again which then resolved the flashing red and green issue on the other ear piece.

Tried the firmware agan then got the following message

"upgrade failed due to a error on the device.

Refs upgrade process error

Received error from device

Unkown error 0x0000"

Went through the reset process again and then allowed me to update the firmware to the latest version.

Still having issues with disconnections.

Android 13
Ver 2.01.00

Sony nw-a300 series

Random disconnects some times a few times a song. Then times where it crashes completely. The left ear piece will have no sound and the button becomes unresponsive. Looks like it will not reestablish the connection automatically.

This is when I'm indoors or outdoors and the device is either in my pocket or even when right next to me.

Via the sony player have tried diff Bluetooth connections though this does not appear to make a difference.

Ps have sent you my ticket no via a pm thanks

Sorry, may I ask you, with what device exactly are you pairing your GO Pod? What is that Sony nw-300 series?

The disconnections with Go Pods are of a peculiar type in my case. When I lose sound on the left piece that doesn't mean that it loses BT connection. For some reason while it is connected to the phone it doesn't relay any sound signal while the right continues to do so. I have to turn off and on BT to re-establish normal signal to both.

This was exactly what was happening to me. It wasn't a BT connection issue

Since there are others I think Ifi needs to do a major firmware update with a solid fix. Because otherwise it is a great product
If you are referring to the connection issues… I don’t think that iFi disagrees… but I wonder if they have found the root cause yet and if so if a solid fix has been found - or if the issue is addressable with firmware… but I hope for the sake of those experiencing lots of these connection issues there is a fix coming soon…

I will of course keep folks updated on anything I hear concerning this, that is why I requested those folks to please fill out a support ticket.

An occasional dropout would be understandable, but if this is happening more than that I would take a moment to report it.

Cheers!!

The "dropouts", and by this I mean one of the Pods to stop playing while the other one plays fine, and my smartphone is very near to me, so the "dropouts" have happened to me very rarely, like once per 3 weeks or so, and I use my GO Pod every day for at least 4 - 5 hours. This is why I have not opened a ticket, yet.

Those users who encounter this more often, ought to open a ticket as they are helping everyone: themselves, iFi Audio to discover what's wrong and the rest of us to avoid encountering this in the future.
