You need to bend the jumper (wire covered by black plastic) and shave both sides of the IDE conector. If you would like I can provide you pictures of the modified adapter by PM.

Failing that may just end up with kingspec ssd for ease of use.

Am I correct in thinking that if a kingspec ssd is reported to work in a h340 it should work in the iriver 120 ok?  I'm pretty sure it's the right one but as it's not amazon verified I can't return it if it's not!

You can put a Toshiba 240 GB hard drive disk (MK2431GAH) inside an iHP-140 but not iHP-120 player. Rockbox with bootloader 7pre4 works fine.

I will get the same card (http://www.amazon.com/dp/B007PF15VG/ref=pe_175190_21431760_3p_M3T1_ST1_dp_1) tomorrow. I will report if it is compatible with an iHP-120 player and Rockbox.

Thank you. My iriver model it´s a h140, so I understand that the MK2431GAH works fine. However, I read that after put the 7pre4, I have to make a wipe, but I don´t know how. This wipe erase the iriver firmware.

I just tested this SSD and works with the iHP-120 with Rockbox using bootloader 6. In the following days I will check how stable is the player with the 128 GB KingSpec SDD.

117 GB. The factory SSD was NTFS formatted. You need a FAT32 formatted SSD to be recognized by Rockbox.
