I'll check with the reseller/dealer indeed.
One question : will the RC-3T remote control work with other devices from Shanling ?
If it's difficult to work out with the dealer is it possible to buy a RC-3T somewhere ?
Or do you know of any other remote control that wold be compatible ?

For the freezing : you are obviously aware of the problem.
Any chance you're working on a fix ?
Especially since Eddict terminates the Synclink connection really often (sometimes the connection terminates after 1 minute or so... sometimes it sticks for several hours. Totally random behaviour).

It seems like performing a total rescan of the USB stick from time to time helps the system to not freeze...

The same remote works over the current lineup of devices (EC3/ET3/EH3)
It's possible to order spare through distributors.
We do not have any info on compatible 3rd party remotes.

So far have no update from software team on this issue.

I am more than happy with the sound quality of my EH3, but I am selling mine because it is overkill for my current stable of headphones. Can't speak to the software quirks since I do not use Eddict Player, etc., but the hardware is beautiful.

Decided to hang onto this guy because the sound is so good and it works great as a USB dac/amp, despite the streamer quirks. I am streaming Tidal via the iOS mconnect app that uses DLNA. Is there a way to get the Shanling remote to skip tracks? It can only pause and control volume now...

LOL... The HE-3 did not die. The remote control did. Not working anymiore. At all

@Shanling, as a feature request (and after fixing the bugs with the streamer functions), is it possible to have the early volume steps (say 1-30) increase more gradually than the later steps? That would increase the amount of volume adjustment for more sensitive gear, even in low and medium gain.

Would be nice but indeed the streaming problems would come first...
But I am convinced that those hopes will unfortunately never been fulfilled
It's been over a month that a representative from the brand did not show up here.
And I think I remember a promise of a new Firmware to be released soon was made some months ago.
So far, unless I am wrong, nothing has showed up.

Despite the magnificent sound I am not sure to want to keep the EH-3

Also the community manager is never working against customers.

Last firmware update for EH3 was in October.

Software team has scheduled firmware update for EH3 to the end of March / beginning of April, but it was so far delayed a bit due to ongoing issues caused by Apple Music apps. We hope to have more news on it next week.

Let's wait for that new firmware and, most importantly, let's wait to know what it will offer.

The only feature I am waiting for is :
1°) support for skipping to next track in third party software (as any other product from any other brand) ;
2°) support for DLNA gapless playback.

Gimme that, and I'll be happy.

But I already know that it will not happen and there'll be some obscure excuse as a reason for this not to happen.

Oh...

And also if the global stability of the device (not the App) would be improved, that would be nice also.
Me : it often happens that after a while, the device is not detected on the network anymore and that the BT connection with SyncLink lasts for only a few seconds...
Right now, the device has gone not responsive and it did not even worked as a DLNA server anymore...

If that could be solved it would be nice too. Because those are SERIOUS stability problems that SHOULD NOT happen, with such devices...

I still believe in miracles...
