Advanced User Manual

With ET3 we continue to build our line of compact top-loading CD players. While the previous Shanling EC3 was designed to be a sort of multifunctional CD player for a wide range of users, ET3 is a much more focused machine, designed for one clear use – Top-Quality Digital Transport for High-End DACs.

Shanling ET3 offers a range of standard digital outputs, but we also added more advanced I2S output and even USB output. Allowing for the transport of super High-Res files, above the limits of standard coaxial or optical outputs. ET3 can read these High-Res files from connected USB drives or it can be used alongside your local wireless network and DLNA streaming.

What was the first CD you bought when they first came out in 85? Mine was Dark Side of the Moon....

Awesome! I have been waiting for something like this for some time. I mainly play flac files using foobar but sometimes I just want to hear a cd when I first get it.. (yes, I still buy cd's) ... Currently I have to put the cd into my office PC, rip it, choosing art/verifying the db info, store/catalog it by genre, then start the audio/player pc, login/wait for it to load, go find the album, queue it to play and hope nothing needs updating... It's so easy!

I think it's a little nicer to just turn on my system, put a cd in, and push play. But I do like it to be high quality.
Oh, I would have to switch inputs on my DAC, so that's a step too.. so complicated! haha..

Very nice. I also like that it has an AES/EBU output so that it can be used with the AES/EBU input on my Schiit Modius AKM 4493 dac.

Great! Looking forward to this. I have around 3500 CDs and a number of them sound excellent.

Trying to also figure out how to rip them from this. MQA is defunct now so why list it.
