Violectric V222 and V202

It's a little too warm temperature wise in the room I listen to music in especially with summer approaching for tube amps.

I'll also be auditioning 3 Loaner Headphones (Sennheiser HD800s, Audeze MM-500, Hifiman Arya Stealth) to make a decision about which one I will purchase using the V222 as the final determining factor. I'm also really curious as to how my setup will sound with the Audeze LCD-4z or LCD-5.
That’s exactly the reason why I’m selling it. It looks amazing and the VU meters are real fun to watch, but at the end of the day just doesn’t work for me at its size and the heat it throws.

Do let us know how these HPs work with the V222! MM-500 and 4z are definitely high on my interest list.

Most definitely! I should have some thoughts to post here on the weekend.

Is that TEAC UD-501 Dual-Monaural D/A Converter with USB Streaming or 501 / 503 AI / AX one of those combos?

I am Interested in your thoughts on this one once you put a few hours on it

I was looking at the 503 AX with vue meters for around $400 used.

Was thinking of getting this for my next build that has SPL Phonitor 2 Amp which I already got and for DAC I am thinking maybe a Teac 503 AX or MACINTOSH MHA-100 or 150. I want to get a very good Vue Meter DAC , I like the one from Jaguar but I would have to trade the wife for that one.....$$$$....lol

It is the TEAC UD-505. I can't recall the last time I saw a DAC with a VU Meter..

Feast your eyes on these beauty's. Teac 501 and 503 is Integrated Amp with Dac and McIntosh MHA 100 is Integrated Amp with DAC.

Use the Amps as PreAmps 😁 if you like. I know the McIntosh is headphone amp also but need to use the rear ports.

Stating the obvious but this Amp is powerful even @ - 18 Db.

Sending it to the bridge. Nothing like being able to shake the doors off in your kitchen or make your ear bleed....jk

Actually, this summer when I was replacing my home theater speakers and tuning my HSU sub. I had to lower my sub to less than 50%. My house is just not built for the vibrations of my system and literally most gunshots that go off in movies or TV will shake the cabinet doors or rattle. The glasses in the cabinets and the floor joist is upstairs. That and these new houses are not built as good as the old ones. I hate to do it but I am seriously thinking about a dampener for the sub.

Received my V222 earlier this week (from Drop). I'm really enjoying it. There's one slightly annoying thing, though, and I'm interested in hearing whether this is unique to my unit or is common. The front XLR connector (which is the one I use) is not perfectly aligned with the chassis. The hole on the chassis is big enough, so that there's no problem connecting the headphones, but at a slight angle since the connector is not perfectly straight. Do others also have something like this on their unit? Thanks

No, mine is as straight as the ones on my other Vios…
